Yup. The only way to win at a high level with an okay QB is to be like some of the bama and uga teams of the past where h75% the starters are first rounders. Auburn will never be at that talent level. Gonna have to follow the UT model and throw a bag at a QB every year and then build around them.

There is no sure bet out there, if that’s what you’re asking. Freeze, however, was a bad gamble. We have to ride it out and hopefully he can maintain the sales pitch enough to build the roster for the next guy. But Freeze is not going to be the guy to right this ship. That’s painfully obvious with everything I see about this team.

I would argue Chizik recruited better than Freeze. Chizik’s classes took us to two national championship games.

It’s definitely between the two of them. Chiz wins out when it comes to actual production so far no doubt, but completely different situations.

We bitched about lack of recruiting for years. Now we got a guy that can actually get players but for some reason can’t seem to coach on game day.
We got to give Freeze at least two more years if not more.
