From that angle, and seeing the ball almost hitting the tuba player standing against the wall, that pass would've been tough for some of the best receivers that play on Sundays.......uncovered.

Still don't get why that play was chosen considering we only had one shot. Hell, the play we opened the second half with would've had a better chance.

Think it was catchable but would have had to find the ball as soon as he got by the corner. Nix had pressure sooner than I realized too though

I have a hard time believing that play was executed as called. Other than a Hail Mary, is there less likely play than that, of being successful? T

Looked like it landed out of bounds to me. You care to explain all of Nix’s skip passes? If Nix ever enters a rock skipping contest I’m betting the farm on him.

Even if the play is against our own secondary its still not catchable.

Come on man, it was behind him and out of bounds just as I remember seeing it. It was a horrible pass.

Whoever said it was a perfect throw in the corner to the receiver, it’s time for you to sit in timeout.

Instead of standing in the pocket taking the hit and delivering the football, Bo panicked and lobbed it up to avoid getting lit up

Wish Bo had a little of Sean White's backbone

I’m not sure Calvin Johnson could snag that one.

It’s time to move on. We lost.

1. Create pass rush
2. Lean on Tank and Cowboy.
3. Nix can help with his legs now and then.
4. Blitz, blitz, blitz

This would have been a difficult ball to catch...about 2 yards out of bounds. Robertson would have had to have been right on the sideline and would have had to leap pretty high to snag it.

I agree.

True, Bo had someone bearing down on him more than I thought.

But I also noticed, just as he did on the streak throw to Robertson down the right sideline pass that fell harmlessly in the back of the right EZ, that he has to throw it WHERE he knows and he sees Robertson is streaking down the left and right sideline.

But the major problem I have with Bo's deep ball, is that he tends to wait to SEE the WR get open or create separation before he launches his pass.

He needs to anticipate that his WR is going to be in front of the DB covering, and lay it ONLY where the WR can catch it.

Where Bo threw it both times, he waited for the WR to come open, and that means that there is more pressure coming at BO, and he has to hurry his throws.

That has a lot to do with Bo not being accurate on deeper throws. And I read where we had 10 plays over 10 yards and we only completed 2 of them. OFC, some of those were at least 2 drops and 1 was a simple fall down by the WR...but the deep ones were open.

Man if Shenker didn't fumble he probably gets to, maybe even inside, the 1 the way he was driving/falling forward. Could have increased the odds we put the ball in Tank's hands.

If that ball was thrown in the end zone in front of the receiver, TD

Bo missed two TD throws when he decided to lob the ball up for grabs

Well within three feet of the side stripe. You guys need to read the lines on a football field. The Ref is at the back of "No Man's Land" and that ball lands at his feet.

"No Man's Land" is the three foot stripe around the entire field. It is there to prevent collisions between the Officials on the lines and the team on the sidelines.

Last Coach I ran into ....I left my flag in the center of his chest when I got up to chase the play. 6'0" and 220 running full speed looking over my shoulder .....Let's just say a standing still didn't have a chance. He left the game and I had bruises for a week.

Last night Peyton Manning’s commentary during MNF said QBs should always aim to hit 3 or 4 yards from the sideline when throwing 40-50 yard go route bombs. I guess Bo thought he meant 3 yards from the other side of the sideline

I'm starting to get off of the Bo Bus. I love the kid and hope he can turn it around, but that should be a touchdown plain and simple. I hope Harsin can get a hyper accurate QB a la Kellen Moore. That would be the perfect compliment to our unstoppable run game.

Btw, have we gotten any word on why Bo started throwing rainbow passes against PSU? Was it to try to get PI calls?

I feel like I am missing something with the way most of this board is talking about Bo. I honestly think he has looked much better than last year, including the deep ball. Absolutely it still needs work, but there were some balls he threw on Saturday that were placed exactly where they needed to be. I'll say it again - if even 2-3 of the balls that were dropped got caught, it could have been a completely different ball game.

It's easy to forget the kid has played QB one way his entire career until this year when he's finally received actual coaching and developmental focus. He may never be good at throwing the deep ball, but man if I wasn't impressed with some, if not most, of his throws against Penn State. I frankly don't care if he hits 1 out of every 5 deep balls he throws if he moves the chains consistently and is accurate in the red zone.

I realize I am in the minority here, but I think if he stays another year he has the capability to be a championship caliber QB. WRs that catch damn balls and don't trip over their own feet would help.
