Enjoy your time man.

I am doing the spatchcock method with our bird. My first attempt at that. Have it going about 45 mins so far. We will see if we can eat it.

My father in law spatchcock’d two smaller turkeys and cooked them in the pizza oven. It was outstanding

Mine came out pretty good for a first timer. I really didnt do anything to it other than cut the backbone out, flaten it out then season. I didnt brine it or anything. Just let it set about 45 mis before I put it on the Primo. Did right at 300 deg for about 3 hours. Was very moist and had a great taste. I used some cajun seasoning on it. I did pull the skin off the breast and put some rub directly on it. Then recovered and held with tooth picks..

Was pretty good

Little brother did a couple turkey breasts. He removed skin, rubbed and pounded them flat over night. Then in the morning rolled, trust, and stuffed them, before finally bacon wrapping and throwing them in his Traeger. Best bird I've ever had, tender juicy, and done just minutes before serving. I was blown away...we had discussed just baking a ham. I'm afraid he might have to do it again next year!

Hope you all ate as well.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Please travel safely, enjoy safely, good luck with your drunk uncles and vice-versa. Off my lawn! LOL. Seriously, War Eagle to you all. I will see my daughter tomorrow for the first time in 5 months. She's 15. Our relationships are complicated. I plan to cook some extra mashed potatoes (I grew them) and I have frozen chicken gravy. We plan to eat mostly KFC with some sides from me. My know-it-all 19 year old son just couldn't make it it seems. Higher priorities I guess. He was so cool when he was young, Auburn through and through, loved fishing and shooting BB guns, didn't mind hauling firewood to our truck, swam slam-butt naked around Chewacla State Park and didn't give a damn.I guess I just have to hope that one day things will click for him. For now though, he has to do things his way and he's failing school. More hard knocks in-coming. Sorry, thanks for the rant. Buck fama!

Enjoy your daughter and try not to worry too much about your son. He will come around hopefully... Young kids are hardheaded and take some time to grow up

Have a good holiday

Drank’n Bourbon…trying to watch some football while putting up the tree & and hauling Mrs Bus’s decorations up from the basement.

It’s not a matter of if…. but when….“decorating” deteriorates into “dissension

It’s a nostalgic tradition we continue every year that helps set the tone to keep the holiday season merry & bright from the get-go.

how does Oregon continue to be the eternally constant "almost elite but can't ever quite make it over the hump" program despite the revolving door of coaches

I would have a hard time being an Oregon fan - always above average but can’t get over the hump.

Oregon joining the Big 10 will eventually send them back down to their appropiate middle of the conference class. Does anybody know why Oregon gets 8 homes games next year? Will it always be like this so they dont have to take as many cross-country flights?

Don't most teams get 8 home games a year? AU had 7 this year because we went to Cal, but should have 8 next year with Cal coming to AU, 3 other OOC games at home, then 4 SEC home and 4 SEC away.

BIG schools will typically alternate having 8 and 7, because they play 9 conference games, so some years they have 5 at home plus 3 OOC and other years 4 at home plus 3 OOC.

Also, in '24 Oregon plays Hawaii in Hawaii, so by NCAA rules they can play a 13th game (reward for travel to Hawaii) so they actually have 8 home games and 5 away games. Five of those home games will be BIG games and 3 will be OOC.

Headed to a desert road trip next weekend. Flying in to Phoenix and spending a week driving about 700 odd miles to Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, Arches and finally Salt Lake City. Hoping to see the Milky Way and the other millions of stars in the clear and cold desert sky.
