Doesn’t seem that subtle tbh. But he’s wrong, we are just rooting against him. We love the players... well most of them.

Is he actually wrong? After reading this board all week, I don’t know that he is

I will never root against the players, but I’m still not sure how I feel about the outcome of the game though. I don’t trust the PTB to make tbe right decision w/o a dumpster fire. He’s not wrong. I’m wanting chaos.

Has nothing to do with if he is wrong or not. He just needs people to blame other than himself. He’s a JOKE!

Sounds like he’s pretty tuned in, too bad his offense isn’t.

I get it. We suck and have underperformed. Everything is under a microscope right now, but this seems like an overreaction. Of all the things to complain about the man telling the truth for once shouldn’t be one of them

He’s not wrong, but it’s probably not the smartest idea to attack the people that buy tickets and support the program

True markings of a narcissist. Never wrong, always blame others.

That is not what he said according to AL.Com. Better check your reference. Here is what AL.com reported.

" Says fans aren't rooting for team to fail, clarifies it's "all others." Leaves it at that.

Let's be fair to his comments, regardless how much we want him to be replaced.

Yes he is wrong. We are not rooting against our team. We are using the evidence we have seen this season and over Gus tenure to know they are not well coached or well prepared to play. Ole Miss is not a good team, we beat then like we are supposed to do.

Hell, I bet $$ on Auburn today. No way I'd root against the team. What kind of dumbass puts you running QB in to hand off, then takes him out for Stidham to run? Gus needs to go!

Good for him.

Pains me to say it but many of our fans have become an embarrassment.

Unfortunately, in the embarrassment contest, Gus has lapped the field, baw.

He's a fool. Barely squeezing into the Birmingham Bowl in his 6th year and he's blaming others.

Sorry Gus but its gonna take more than beating a deflated Ole Miss team and securing another trip to the Birmingham Bowl . to convince me you deserve another year

“I don’t blame people for being upset or being mad for the position that we’re in,” Davis said. “It’s Auburn football, and when you play for Auburn, you’re supposed to win. You want to win, the players want to win, the coaches want to win, the fans most definitely want you to win. So when you’re not doing that, there’s going to be some frustrated people. I like the fact that they’re frustrated, also. It shows that they … actually care about Auburn football. They’re not just, when we win ‘hooray’ and when we lose, ‘oh well.’ No, you’re supposed to win. The thing about about it is, in the locker room, we have to stay together. We play to play with each other, we have to play for each other. We play for the Auburn pride and the Auburn logo. Today I feel like that’s what we did. We go into the bye week, and that’s a big win for us. A chance to get some guys recovered. Including myself.”

The maturity and wisdom of this kid is unreal. Can we fire Gus and make DD the head coach? He sure as hell handles the public better than Gus. Hats off to you Mr. Davis.
