Any chance Gus "does the right thing" and says "My performance isn't worth my contract" and decides to walk away with some sort of reduced sum?

So if Gus stays and wins next year. How many of you will pull against AU so he gets fired?
I really don’t care either way but this talk about other teams passing us by....nobody has won jack squat but Alabama. None of these other coaches in the SEC even compete. Are you all aiming for 2nd place?
Decent QB, we would have beat UGa last night. QB sux and Gus won’t bench him for some reason.

its because the rest of the QB's behind Stidham aren't ready to see the field full-time and whose job is it to make sure we have serviceable backup QBs if the main man falters?

and let me add it has nothing to do with pulling against Auburn I want us to win I want Gus to do well. but anyone looking at things realistically can see we will never have longterm success with Gus as HC. we may get lucky every two or three years and make it to Atlanta and win the SEC. but it'll only be followed up by another season like this.
Kirby is in year three and has Georgia headed to atlanta for the second straight year. Gus is in year six and has us headed to the Music City Bowl
now that said as I stated about two weeks ago history says Liberty will probably be our last win this season (depending on who we get matched up with in the bowl game). and Gus will most likely catch unexpected lightning to somehow reach 9/10 wins next year only to turn around and be stuck in the same spot with us discussing these same issues around this time in 2020

I was with you until the part about unexpected lightning leading to 9/10 wins. Our talent isn’t there for him to get that lucky lol. Cheers!

you clearly haven't followed history of Auburn football under Gus the unexpected lightning I was referring to is the random QB he signs

Uh, yeah teams have, and are, passing us by. Have you looked at the standings lately? I'd be excited as hell about 2nd place right now. You have to get to 2nd place before you can get to 1st.
Nobody is expecting us to beat Bama all the time. That's not realistic. But what is realistic is not getting beat by one of the worst Tenn teams of all time, not lose to Miss St, actually win a couple games on the road at our rivals (Bama, LSU, UGA). I think 2010 is the last time we won a road game at either of those 3 places. 1999 and 2005 is even worse for LSU and UGA.
I expect the coach to have a competitive team and not look inept more than not. Teams aren't scared for us to come play them. They know if you can take one thing away, malzahn will not and cannot adjust to it and you have the game won. I expect the coach to recruit players that fit his system. I get it that you can't get every kid you want, but we miss on way more than we hit. After we miss it seems that we have no plan B and just have to go get guys whose skillset is not compatible with the system our coach knows best. Square peg, round hole, grab the fricking sledgehammer because he is gonna make it go by god.

UGA definitely passing us and gap getting bigger and bigger. LSU passing us especially with O having a better than expected year. Florida is looking like it's headed in right direction with Mullen, same with UT and Pruitt.
We better get our heads out of our asses. Beyond Gus, we need stadium upgrades, facility upgrades and more. We need to spend money to make money.

GM ha gained quite a few pounds since this photo was taken!
The problem now is his record against the top teams in the SEC. Its getting worse!
And our abysmal record in Athens since 2009, when he was OC and now HC is a worse problem, since we recruit so heavily in GA.
To NOT score at all after the 1st qtr since GM has been our HC is totally not acceptable.
