I haven’t given up on the defense. I feel like that’s one of the better offenses we will face. A lot of veterans have been in that system. Defenses tend to get better as the season goes along

Yea, the tackling was bad to look at. And unfortunately, the years we started like that, we never really fixed it during the season. And the competition is going to get much tougher.

Have the team meeting and say "LBs and DBs, Im gonna turn on this film of "lowlights" from the game, take a look at your NIL payment, look at each other, and shame yourself by cashing that check" Pitiful performance, and more pitiful that you would take money for that, that, whatever that was.

I'd say
Offense
Rushing- A
QB over 100 yards and 2 RBs almost 75 each
Passing- C
Ball placement for JA was a bit off. He didn't throw an INT. Didn't need the passing game for the most part to win.
Defense
Rushing- B
They were held under 100 yards. No significant big runs. Need to force turnovers.
Passing- F
Open field tackling was awful. Slants and posts were killing us all night. Had a few drive extending penalties in the secondary.
Special Teams- C
The KO return was great. Happy to see a FG be made. But had issues lining up on punt team. Kick catch interference.
Some of the issues can be cleaned up as we get deeper into the season.
