Marciano has the worst damned luck. Had you told me this morning he’d only allow two runs on six innings I’d have missed you full on the mouth.

Well it’s good baseball when 2 aces are going at it in a Thursday night. Timely hitting is the name of the game

We are facing the best SEC record in the conference. I was little concerned coming out of the result Tuesday night. Hitting was not in the gaps. We’ll see what happens tonight. Tie it up and play for the series on Saturday. This is the battle our youth had to face. This will have greater impact in the tournament. Lot to learn from this.

The O has been our Achilles most of the yr, especially against top Pitching. We needed a big bopper to replace Ike and struck out with Clay, Gregarious, Madrigal.

You can't deny this teams metrics and rankings and they have had a really really good season. Butch is great. But the way our bats can shut down makes it hard to see this team putting together a run in the tournament.

That said they've bounced back before and hopefully will do it again but last night was pitiful.

Common thread is injury. Todd and Eddie both hurt entering the year, Logan just now working his way back from injury right as he was heating up.

Yeah Clay has been a total bust for this season many thought he would be one of the top offensive guys on the team. Myself included.

But we have a very very good team. The old adage goes good pitching beats good hitting.

We lost a 2-1 game with both aces pitching. That’s baseball. Heck that is great baseball.

The overall team issue is lack of power through the line up. Even our big thumpers are barely over 10 HRs. That will be our downfall as we progress through the playoffs. Like UGa last night they didn’t hit it great either but a couple solo shots won the game for them. It’s hard to score against top pitching, Always has been always will be.

Let’s get tonight’s game. WDE

Oh, we fell to number 3. GT jumped back to 2.

Dre needs to P lights out and we can hopefully get the bats going.

Need Eric G to get back on his torrid streak

K for out one and Dre is heaving gas. Infield single. Just too well placed for Eric to make the play. Pop out for out two. Think we just picked off Jackson. Called safe but Auburn immediately calls for a challenge. Call stands. Single and they have runners at the corners with two outs.

Runner on first takes second on what amounts to indifference but it’s scored a steal. Then a three run homer. Dre getting chased. Man.

5-0 UGA T1 2 outs.

Mason and Eric both ground out to open. Chase gets plinked. Chris doubles to put us in business.
