Well Brandon for us at SS is probably a natural 2nd baseman. He has the frame for SS but I want him to put on about 10-12 pounds each of the next 2 offseasons. A 2B with size, good arm, will hit for average and some power as his body matures.
Not looking ahead to next season but if Rembert goes pro we need and elite defender for middle infield. Maybe a freshman can do it. Center fielder that hits for average and can steal bases. 1B with good glove work and power. We need a 20+ HR guy.
Obviously we will get some incoming freshman but probably need a couple transfer pitchers. No telling what happens to the arms with the portal. Some of our middle guys like Cormier can start for most teams. So gonna have to pony up for him.

He's one worth paying.

If you make it to Omaha and win a couple games to open the tournament are you throwing Sanders or Cormier as the 4th starter?
If I were the head guy I’d consider Cormier hard but Sanders starting experience might push me to go with him but Cormier has been lights out in that long middle relief role

Probably not a bad call either way imo. Yes Sanders has more experience but I've not seen Cormier look like the stage is too big.

I think you have them as relief to get wins. Probably a Graves and bullpen game. I’d P Graves on Wed too regardless who we r playing ( LSU/A&M). Would not bring back anyone on short rest.

I agree. I would love to win the SEC tournament but not at the expense of arms. 2 wins probably locks us in at the 3 seed unless UTx makes a deep run. Could possibly jump GT if we beat an A&M or such
