I've always liked him and thought he would be solid if we needed him. In the very little we've seen of him he's looked very capable

Haven't the beat writers said his elbow is pretty much shot?
Like, can't throw the ball more than 20 yards?

No defense would rather let Whitlow get the ball over Nix.

They would when there are 6-7 other guys that can tackle him and he’s running behind a trash OL, vs Nix without a defender on him. This is how teams are playing the zone read in general. As opposed to forcing a player to make an open field tackle on a player, force him to give it where you have help.

Idk that, but it's true we've never really seen him throw long even in A-Day

Was he a pitcher when he played baseball?

Outfielder. He lacks zip on the ball

No, I think Cord was an OF.

But I think he can throw it deeper, but he is more of an accurate passer than a cannon for an arm.

Apparently Cord is a good guy to have in the locker room, dad and older brother type of advice to the young guys.

But it’s going to suck if Joey turns out to be a Kyler Murray/Justin Fields type of transfer.

All the best Joey.

Staff look different?

Haven't we already tried that w/ 1. giving Lashlee more OC control and 2. bringing in Lindsey to be a QB coach and integrate a passing offense w/ Gus rushing offensive schemes?

So what staff we talking about AGAIN? I assume you are not including GM...

Just get me an OL coach that recruits and I'll be happy

Too bad Ryan Pugh is already an OC, he would've made a great OL coach for us

You can change whatever you want on this staff (and I feel like we have some GREAT assistant coaches) but until Gus is fired 1. It will be HIS offense 2. HIS play calling 3. Underdevelopment of offensive players 4. The same results against upper echelon competition in our league.

How can he be any worse than Nix?

To be fair, there’s no actual talk. Go back and look at the source

I've come to accept Gus is a coaching cockroach. You think that you've sprayed and got rid of him. But that fricker just keeps coming back.

You guys are going to have to understand that Nix is only part of the problem. Cord will just magnify the problem more

The offense doesn’t work. Don’t care who you plug in at QB

I’ll accept all the downvoted in the world for what I’m about to say but it’s the damn truth. Nix is our QB for the future but Gus is using him for a scapegoat to save his sorry arse this year. A kid with that much talent doesn’t just forget how to play football unless his head case of a head coach has instilled a “just do this and don’t frick up” mindset. Look at all the other QBs that Gus has coached that, at times, look like they don’t even belong on the field in the SEC.

Yep. And sorry (to team Gatewood), but Gatewood didn't deserve the starting job. He had the spring, summer, and fall practice to prove he was the guy and Bo outperformed him. This isn't to say he was given a fair shot during the season - he clearly wasn't.

He left the team.
Don't blame him.
