He called a pretty good game in general I think. Great game for Bo. Good win on the road, hope we can come back strong and healthy from our week off.
For sure. Got a little stale in the second and some of
The third, but he was money in the frame i mentioned. That third fake toss Nix run was a great play call with what Arky was showing and over-reacting. He called a great game the last quarter.

Bobo did well. I’m still mostly concerned about the running game. We are just not effective running the ball and I don’t like throwing the ball this much.

Agreed but I do appreciate the various formations and plays

Unfortunately that isn't going to get truly fixed until we get more talent on the offensive line. It should get better as long as Bo shows consistency with being able to throw the ball down the middle of the field though.
The one thing I've really liked about our play calling this year has been our willingness to take what the defense is giving us rather than beating our heads against a wall like we did with Gus.

Bobo did well.

that qb sweep to the left for that late third down conversion was a fantastic call

That play reminded me of Bo vs A&M when he was a true freshman. Clutch play.

Ultimately our OL still isn’t great. They are why our running game struggles. Passing game inconsistency hasn’t hurt, but OL is ultimately what we knew they were. They have been a little better in pass protection than I though they’d be and a little worse in run blocking, but ultimately what I expected.

I disagree. He wasn’t perfect but for the most part late in the game he was pretty much on point.

K. Or, more reasonably, he was good in the first quarter, bad in the second, good and bad in the third and good in the fourth. Overall he had a good game.

Lot of good plays look bad when your OL can't block on 3rd & short

There will be a time when we need a tough two or three yards over and over to run out the clock. The QB runs can only help so much and an incompletion can really hurt. Running game has to take over. QB draw near the goal line was really weak call and execution too

Auburn football Facebook page has a great video of the guys celebrating with Harsin in every locker room. That’s the stuff I love seeing. Regardless of our melting as fans. Guys seem in with Harsin. We have our growing pains, but guys seem to like him.

I’m not sure if that was a called draw or not. Weird reaction between Bo and Brahms on that one. I didn’t hate the call, but Bo did not sell that as a true “draw”. Looked more of a quick read and he just took it. Regardless, whatever it was, was not executed well.

Either our players have careers in acting or they genuinely like Harsin based on those videos.

I don't understand the melting. There are specifics I don't like, but overall I think Harsin has been pretty solid.
Idk if Harsin will be the guy, but he seems to be emphasizing and focusing on things that will lead to long term program success. Just a question if he is competent enough to pull it off
I rarely felt Malzahn cared about important parts of running a program. Malzahn seemed to think his scheme was all he needed and failed at crucial things like OL recruiting and player development. We are paying for those failings now

I think most of the melting (mine included) is we secretly wanted that quick turn around. We wanted that 2013 instant injection. I know that wasn’t reasonable, but I just wanted it to happen and I definitely had some melt with how poor Nix and WR’s played.
I have a lot of faith in Harsin, I’ve liked everything I’ve seen of him. Doesn’t mean I’ve been reasonable every week this season

Pretty much. It's funny that when people are complaining about his play calling it matches up with what people are wanting him to do (run the ball more). Our offensive line is just really sucking in run blocking. And unless we make teams really respect our ability to pass over the middle and make the safeties play back, that isn't going to really change I don't think. We just don't have the players on the line.

Mason is the one who continues to piss me off. Our DB's are not good. He has to know this...............yet we send no pressure on third and long. The QB sits in the pocket and picks us apart. I was screaming for pressure all game long.

Yeah, Mason is driving me crazy, not happy with our defense at all. We look lost at the start of plays constantly, poor tackling all over the place, and our defensive backs look like complete crap outside of McCreary. And don't even get me started on our third down defense.
