So apparently Harsin big dicked Ed O into being fired.

And Ed O will continue coaching for the rest of the year because LSU doesn’t want to fall in love with the next interim coach.

Same Lanier.

That was a really shite performance. Our running game has regress. It’s all up to Bo now.

Every team we play is selling out to stop the run and daring us to throw. Arkansas has played a 3-man front all season long and came out and played predominantly with a 4-man front against us. That's the first time they've done that all year.

Our OL is obviously not good enough to just push teams around that are also just selling out to stop the run. The running lanes will open up more if we start putting a few more games together wherein we're punishing teams with the pass.

What you saw against Arkansas was the passing game finally click - and those passing lanes WILL be there, which is why its vital that our receivers catch the ball, and for Bo Nix to throw the ball like he did against Arkansas. The reason why Ole Miss ran all over that same Arkansas defense is because Arkansas was doing the opposite: they were deathly afraid (for good reason) of Ole Miss throwing the ball all over them.

The reality is that no one has been afraid of explosive passing plays beating them when they play against us. And why would they be? We've had games where even the simplest passes aren't being completed. That Arkansas game will start turning the tide in terms of how teams prepare for our offense, but it's going to take more than 1 game.

The OL is very average in terms of run blocking (it is what it is - we know what we have there from a talent perspective) but it's being exasperated by teams seeing a traditionally inaccurate QB and poor receivers lining up against them - hence no respect being given to our passing game.

Agree. The only quibbile is I'd say we are above average OL in the run game but when teams have 8 in the box we're not. Loved the Arky win and Bobo's calls.

21-26 might get that box down to 7, 6, or even 5 sometimes.

Catching the ball empties a box.

Only one drop last week.
Imagine if we had only 10 drops this year?

Agree. Watching Arkansas open up big running lanes just was terrifying. I was like, "Why cant we do that"?

Our Oline has improved its pass blocking but they are not making any big holes
