We’ve only won 43% of our games this decade and based on Saturday, it doesn’t look to be getting better. This is the worst stretch for Auburn football in anyone’s lifetime; if there’s a time to be melting down, it’s now.

We fired Gus. We fired Harsin.

We’re going into week 3 of year 2. Yall have to settle the frick down.

I would bet a majority of the players are more pissed at Thorne than the keyboard warriors of the AU message board.
d

I can guarantee they aren't. With very few exceptions they are nothing but hired hands who only see Auburn as means to an end. If they are pissed it's because it hurts their own brand.

Thorne can’t see the field, he can’t even find his safety valve, and he can’t see a blitz. Year 5 in college, year 4 starting at the D1 level and this is just what he is.

Either way, the players didn't execute shite

This constant year 5 talk makes me think yall only care to sensationalize your sorrows for a pity party of men.

It's irrelevant.

Thorne was supposed to shed his average caterpillar skin and blossom into a beautiful butterfly

I wish he was average. That’d be a massive improvement.

He's still an improvement from Ashford

Funny, I don’t recall Ashford throwing 5 INTs in 1 game.

Did he ever throw more than 5 passes in one game last year?

Remind me again which season did he have more passing TDs than interceptions.

I thought I was melting, but some of y'all are on another level of melt today.

I am in no way unhappy with Freeze as a whole. As long as we bring in top 5 classes, it will be very hard to be bad for long.

I am disappointed that we prolly don't get 8 wins this year, but I am not ready to give up on Freeze. I mean even if he is just head recruiter and hires people to coach that is fine with me.

Agreed. If Freeze has to step back to being the CEO and bringing in some top notch coordinators, I’m cool with that. I am however ready to have a discussion about his QB coach, Kent Austin. Is he the one that is telling Freeze to keep playing PT? Is he the one who isn’t getting these QBs prepared so that someone is good enough to make an underperforming QB1 sit? It definitely doesn’t seem like high school QBs are impressed with him in recruiting either.

we need a quick release, slant, screen, roll out game to keep the D line out of the backfield, maybe you need some help

Every Sun Belt, AAC, MAC coach knows this.

We seem to think 4 verts or sack.

Meanwhile top teams have layers of receivers stressing safeties and LBs where QB throws to green grass.

He hasn't brought in a top 5 class, yet and it remains to be seen what the effects of what actually occurs on the field this season will do to our recruiting going forward. You have to show it on the field. It's not just going to magically happen because Hugh is just that charming. We turn in another losing season, I doubt Hugh ever pulls the first top 5 class at Auburn.
