If we can’t get to 8 wins with this upgraded roster and both UGA and Bama at home then we’ll never get there. This team has SEC talent at every position with maybe the exception of TE, and good depth at most spots. I’m pulling for Freeze and I hope he gets us rolling.
Now, on recruiting? Seems like got caught with our thumb in our ears and we’re playing a massive game of catch-up. The Aug.1 “play by the rules” gamble appears to be bust by Cohen so I hope our “pivot” allows us to not get shut out of recruiting top 20.

I don’t look at it like you r. Screw bama and Ga., take that as 2 losses - even though I think we can beat one.
Can we go 9-1 or 8-2 with the rest of the schedule? Yes we should be able.

Playing both at home, I fully expect that we compete in both those games and have a chance to win both. Do I think we win both, no, but we should absolutely expect to compete, and maybe with a few breaks here and there, you never know. I like our matchup with Bama butter than UGA provided we are relatively healthy going into that game.

I also want Freeze to figure it out and get the program rocking. I like everything he is doing with the program except gameday coaching and I'm not crazy about his management of the offensive coaching staff. He could make me forget about both those issues this year.
Part of my optimism for this year is that the consequences of mediocrity would be devastating to Auburn Football. I don't want to even consider how hopeless our program would be if we had to fire Hugh.

We will be fine with recruiting. Some of our targets had us in their top listing, when we could not offer up NIL they "committed" somewhere else. If we want them and offer money they will come back......

No, I have zero confidence in him for the long run. I am just saying that the program has the talent right now to be successful. There is no reason for another 6-7 win season.
Maybe we lack some depth but our starters should be solid.
