If Monday is true, I was pretty close on my prediction in the QB thread.

My guess is the coaches will make a final decision after Saturday's scrimmage and will announce that decision on Monday.

I can see that as being the case. I would guess that they will use Sunday as a review and talk it over more to be certain

I wonder if they don't announce it prior to Saturday's scrimmage so whoever it is get's the opportunity to run the whole shebang in JH stadium for the last scrimmage of preseason.

Talking about how a player performs on a fan message board is mostly acceptable to me. I agree that it can go too far and get too personal though. Players really shouldn't be reading this crap.

I bet that Nieko Thorpe, who earned an NFL salary last year and looks like he's going to earn another NFL salary this year, doesn't give a shite what TTsTowel thinks.

Maybe, but I doubt it. There are plenty of reps for two QBs in a scrimmage. Make a decision after one last analysis and then 2 weeks to get ready for the opener with a starting QB in place.

So, a lot of y'all think it'll come down to one last scrimmage ...? Super-duper close race if true.

I more think one last scrimmage will be factored into all the other info they have before a final decision is made. Not necessarily that the final scrimmage performance will be the deciding factor.

It's possible that it's that close, but I wouldn't be surprised if the decision for Marshall has already been made, but they're pushing him by not saying it yet. To put a true freshman out there against the SEC is extremely ballsy.

Will not need to with Nick. He has been in the bright lights of the SEC before.

I think it's going to be like the Westminster Dog Show, when they're deciding the winning dog. They've already been put through their paces, been inspected head to tail, done the trot down and back, thoroughly vetted.

Then they call out the first dog, the second dog, the third, the fourth, and they line up and do another trot-around -- this is the scrimmage. The judge has his Dog1 picked out but is making absolutely sure. He's eyeballing every one of them, Dog1 included, but giving the runners-up this one last chance. But just about every time the lead dog is the winner.

Lesson learned from Westminster Dog Show? At decision time it's better to be the lead dog. (Then when again isn't it?)

Are you trying to say that Auburn has a big johnson? Definitely the biggest Johnson in the SEC

Ricardo is a rotational guy. He is inconsistent which is why he hasn't seen the field much

Ryan Black: Guest: I definitely think so. No one has received more praise during fall camp than Louis. I'm thinking he's the guy Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee have been calling for: the Tigers' "go-to" wideout.

Ryan Black: Ricardo Louis has been the star of fall camp. If you're looking for a go-to guy, I think he's it.

Me and Ryan, Genes, we have high hopes for Ricardo! Expecting a breakout season for him!

I just finished my internship so I haven't been able to follow things as much as usual. I always knew Ricardo could ball so glad he is finally putting things together. The consistency had to do with up to fall camp. Glad to hear because I think his talent ceiling is one of the highest of our WRs

Obligatory Ricardo story

Before last season, I was eating with a few guys in Village Dining hall when Ricardo got some stuff. They asked him if he wanted to sit with us and at first he was pretty hesitant about joining us. After he left, they told me "Ricardo said he had never met a white person before coming to Auburn so we are still trying to get him comfortable"

Not surprising...he is from South Florida and probably grew up in a huge Latin community.

Auburn was prob a big of a cultural shock.

They must've been bullshitting you, man...

He had white players on his high school team.

ETA: Besides, I was in Auburn around this time last year for a friend's birthday, and we were walking around where the bars are. He was hanging out with some more players, and this white guy was talking to him and like introducing him to other people. He was like, "This is RiCardo Louis, wide receiver from Miami. Etc..."
