I was just pointing out your obsession with him. It would be easy for somebody to mistake that obsession for you thinking he would be dominant
That makes no sense.

How does liking a player/coach/scheme/etc automatically make you think it's somehow dominant?

It's not, I'm just pointing out that there was no reason to link anything you actually went and linked.

It scares me that we have 3 LBs that have been on campus for over a year and in college systems plus another JUCO transfer that is extremely athletic and we can't even get 2 of them to be reasonable. Not great just reasonable and get the job done
It is pretty weird. It's not like we haven't recruited some quality guys. Not to Alabama's caliber, of course, but we've had some guys here that were overcome by weird circumstances, or else it would seem...

It's a little unfair to judge Flowers right now. He's only been practicing a little over a week. And McKinzy is a good LB from what I've seen. Also Garrett could technically be counted as a quality LB since I think he could be good there too.

At DE, I find it hard to believe we are going to find success. I think Dee Ford can be an 8-9 sack guy and reasonable at best at run defense. Opposite him, I doubt we see 5 sacks total from that DE position. I see DE being weak

I could see this. I wonder how much Ken Carter week play at DE. He does not look like he had lost much weight. With him out there opposite a speedy DE like Ford, it is almost like we are playing a 3-4 over.

Will everyone's favorite bust Craig Sanders finally show yip his senior year?

I'm definitely not a football analyst, I'm sure I'll take heat from those who are for the following-

The main complaint with Holland was missing tackles, right? He would over pursue or dive at the ball carrier only to easily juked. So, he was often in the right place at the right time with poor fundamentals. Maybe his tackling has improved and now the choice is an LB (Holland) who is the right place, at the right time, that has a chance of making the play or an LB who maybe a tackling machine, but is often poorly aligned and has taken himself out of the play due to failure to understand the scheme.

I often cussed Holland last year, I'd love to see the kid improve and have an awesome year.

CEJ said we were running the 4-2-5 with 3-4 principles....1 big DE, 1 pass-rushing DE, a lot of blitzing from the STAR and the SS. on obvious pass-rushing situations, Carter and one of the DTs come out, guys like Lawson, Daniel, Delaine, etc....will come in.

No, he knew where to be but often was not in position to make a play. This was often the cause of him missing tackles. He did not attack and plug gaps

He is not athletic enough to be a top tier LB. Strength and speed are not on the levels of guys like say Kris Frost. If he can tackle though for a change he will at least be serviceable compared to where he was last yer

I'm very concerned with LBs. Seems Holland and Cass will be our 1s there.

And like Slacker said, maybe Holland has gotten stronger and faster under Coach Russel, and that will up his play. I'm looking forward to seeing Cass start though. I think he will be a good one. If Holland can be almost as good as Bynes, I'll be happy.

Not at all. How are you stop detailing the thread with nonsense? There are no threads claiming Kris Frost will be dominant.

If Jake Holland is better, he should play. Maybe injuries caused all his mishaps last year? Or at least played a part.
