quote:Recruiting is my love and passion but before I joined this board I did basically only recruiting because it was too hard to keep up with all the other stuff on AUF. This format is much easier for me to keep up with so I participate more outside recruiting. If I miss a day here it's only about 5 to 8 threads I have to catch up on if the topic interests me.
Do you do anything outside of recruiting E?
quote:Na but I am so detail oriented I would probably make good money at it. I should have listened to my HS baseball coach and been a SID or something in day to day AD operations.
Not to be taken in a negative way. More of are you trying to make a career out of covering AU sports.

I really like that Garner video. That was a great hire by Gus, it really can't be overemphasized.

If you are relatively young E you can still go for the SID career.

quote:My reaction to Kiehl Frazier getting the nod over every other quarterback would be the same as pretty much everyone else's on this board, bro. Nobody has any faith in that clown, and we wouldn't win more than 5 games. And 5 games would be the ceiling for that Auburn team because he would hold back the offense just like he did last season. The guy can't throw an accurate screen pass and looks like a deer in the headlights anytime a pass rusher gets through the line.
TT's meltdown if Frazier got the job would surpass his pre-signing day meltdowns. It would be the stuff of legends.
BTW, wasn't it you that said you wouldn't even watch any games if Kiehl Frazier was the starter? Or was that lowspark?

I could have a pretty epic melt if Kiehl gets named starter for WSU. I tend to bottle things up...that might set me off

I'll just be heavily intoxicated during every game I know Auburn is about to get pounded in.

I did that last season. It numbed the pain decently well

Agree.
ETA: I think this is neat quote from Coach Grimes:
quote:
He said tackle Shon Coleman "has a chance to be really good. Physically, God blessed him with a lot of ability. I noticed the other day Carl Lawson, who is really talented, gave Shon an inside move that Shon bit on. Carl went back outside on him. I call Shon an Avatar. He's so long. He stuck his left paw out and recovered.
"Coaching didn't have a dadgummed thing to do with that. That guy has some talent, and he's long. That impressed me. Not a lot of guys can do that. I don't think Carl had seen one like that in his short career."

Agree as well. Just wish there wasn't a bunch of talking in the background.

I'll observe, point, and laugh if y'all don't mind.

If he is named starter I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best, but from all the info in this thread and other places it just doesn't really seem likely.

I haven't really had a melt during my short tenure on TD/SECr...I figure it's bound to happen eventually. Kiehl just might be my red stapler. Don't remove my red stapler from the desk (bench)

What time is the scrimmage? Hopefully Frazier is hungover. TIA
Posted on 8/10/13 at 7:36 am to AUtigR24
Scrimmage is 10 am central I believe. I'm sure we'll start to see some seperation at some of the contested spots after today.

Thanks, by all accounts (writers and coaches) you are correct. We should start develop a 2 deep in the days

Love to hear that about Shon. He was a five star for a reason.
