You forgot GT. I’d slide them in right after Tennessee, but real old timers would have them higher.

Why is that group bad? You don’t like basketball?

I don’t like destroying the football conference for the sake of Basketball. You’re not even getting the Duke/UNC combo. You’re adding WV and Virginia instead l

Florida State
Clemson
Georgia Tech

I’ll approve those three.

3rd biggest rival or not - still say the 2006 Auburn/lsu game was the most physical, most hard hitting game I ever witnessed. It was a flat out WAR. came out on top 7-3,but it was a brutal, brutal game... good times

I'll buy this part
quote:

Bama
UGA
UF
UTk

But everyone is else isn't really a rival. I have never heard MSU considered a rival from when I arrived in the 85 till now. Given the conference expansion losing UF and UT, LSU would likely be 3rd today.

Tennessee might have been a better rival in the ancient past but I am not buying that Tennessee is still a better rival than LSU. Same for Florida.

In the 00's that LSU game was so intense that both teams needed byes after the game, not before it.

Some of us watched games for 20-25 years before the 2000's.

I was speaking historically.

Hence why I said Tennessee might have been a better rival in the ancient past

You said most of the fanbase think LSU is the third rival.

Well they are.

Tennessee and Florida, they can get in line.

I’ll admit the LSU game has been more important the last 30 years, because they have been a division foe and we’ve been competing directly with them for the division championship. Of course, by that definition, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Mississippi State have been bigger rivals than Georgia, too.

Fortunately, we will be playing Florida, Tennessee, and LSU equally going forward (twice every 4 years). That’s the beauty of the new schedule. Hopefully it will be a 3-6, so we can also keep Georgia as a permanent rival.

Give me FL over LSU. 84 meetings over 57 meetings and we haven't really played much in the 2000s.

AU vs FL was fun.

The important of that Florida rivalry was scraped away two decades ago.

Any reoccurring game is more of a rivalry if you ask me.
