Regardless of who our DC is going to be, it'll probably be about the same next year until we can bulk up our LB corp. There is no size back there. BVG said himself at the start of last season. We need bigger players at LB to stop the SEC RB's.
I think our LBs need to get stronger but at the same time I think it is more a factor of them not playing stronger if that makes sense. They don't meet RBs in the hole they let the RBs come to them and then the RBs have momentum on their side and they are standing still
Same reason why you see big hitting safeties that are undersized, it is because they want to tag the ball carrier rather than wrap and pull down
ETA: Doesn't help when our DLine takes 75% of plays off

You hit the nail on the head. It's also a "knowledge" thing. With the DC calling the right play and the LB knowing which gap to fill, the LB should hit that hole at full speed expecting the RB to come through it.

I noticed alot of that last season as well. I was really dissapointed in our D-line. We had really good players there. I hope ole Gus can remedy the laziness issues as well.

You can critize him, but he is more accurate than JGT and rivals.
