Twitter Link to Marcello

Early Vegas line has Auburn a -3.5 dog for our trip to Happy Valley. Looks like a close game. Marcello seems to think Penn State will cover. Hoping this time clicks early and doesnt need 4 games to get in a rhythm and CBH picks up an early big win.

If they lose to a 4-5 Penn State, it's going to be a loooong season.

Penn State went 4-5 in 2020. Not sure if you are aware, but this game will be taking place in the 2021 season.

Thanks,

Really?! I was not aware. Thanks for clarifying.

If they lose to a Penn State team coming off a 4-5 season last year, it's going to be a long season. Feel better now?

Heaven help Nick Saban, who once lost to an Auburn team coming off a 3-9 season!

based on what, just their W/L record? Need more than that to say that.

We were what...6-5? That doesn't much better than Penn St considering, and we changed our whole coaching staff.

Also, it WILL be our 1st road game, and any game AT Penn St will be tough. Even though they had a losing season they did win their last 4 games in a row, and Franklin's teams have finished in the top 10 3 times. How does that compare to our team's finishes?

It will be a tough game, and we will be lucky to come out with a win...

There’s been plenty of good teams that have gone on the road to a hostile environment and lost to bad teams. Losing early at Penn State isn’t a death sentence.

Regardless, if your expectations are anything but a long season then you should adjust them. Unless we experience a dramatic swing in development along the LOS on both sides of the ball, it’s likely to be a tough year.

And take it for what it's worth but ESPN FPI has PSU as preseason top 10. It's certainly not prevailing thought that PSU will be bad this season.

Surely, as an Auburn fan, you have learned last year usually doesn't indicate shite about the next.

I think you can certainly call 2020 an outlier as far as B1G football is concerned.

Franklin's an a-hole, but he will have his team ready this season.

Vegas basically thinks PSU is just slightly better. You get 3 for being at home. That means they think PSU is the hook better.

Yeah. I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 ft. pole.

I have no idea what PSU has. I know we have a lot of question marks.

Say either “+3.5” or “a 3.5 dog”. Not sure why that bothers me so much.

Fortunately, we have two cupcakes first and will see what PSU has against Wisconsin.
