Clemente posted that Durkin has been in contact with recruits today and Caldwell said he was meeting again with Golesh and expects something is announced today or early tomorrow

Same for On3 - Nakos reporting that Durkin has been working to keep the defensive recruits committed.

On the other hand, the State On3 mods have been saying they don't expect a decision from Durkin until after ESD. So we'll still have to see what all of this means

If I were Golesh, I would be so torn about keeping DJ

Not sure I understand the appeal of going to State if I am Durkin. Maybe he’s thinking he can parlay a midseason interim tag into the full time job there next year lol

I’m thinking DJ definitely wants to stay but Golesh is torn on retaining him

If I’m Golesh, I give him a shot

But I can certainly understand his reservations

Yeah Lebby is probably gonna have to walk The Green Mile about early October next season.

I think the ball is entirely in DJ's court. If it weren't we would have heard something by now

I'm assuming he's gone, just not sure where. Not based on anything in particular I've read, just the sum of all that has happened so far

Lebby is a good coach. He just took the wrong job.

Memphis, Tulane, and/or USF may be interviewing him for HC? Maybe waiting to see if he gets it. I see Blake Baker's name is popping up for the Tulane job.

Either way, I trust our new HC on getting the defense right

Durkin D definitely cracked in MANY games in the 4thQ

Because they were tired from being on the field the whole game.

I'm hoping they build some type of relationship, in the recruiting trenches, while Durk is trying to help him sign the roster today and tomorrow.

If those two hit it off, man, we got a shot next year....

If Golesh's offense scores as quickly as predicted, it'll be the same story.

Hopefully it turns into something closer to 2013 or 2010 where we just outscore people scoring an average of 40 points a game.

I was under the impression that they already knew each other but I could be wrong.

Scoring quickly has got to put less stress on a defense than constantly going 3 and out which is what they’re used to.

Physically I'm guessing it's the same either way.

Mentally though, I agree. It's the difference between knowing if you mess up things are back to how they were before the prior offensive possession as opposed to falling farther behind.
