But you did. I think Thorne is the best to chance to win and this is what you put in my mouth?
How is the guy that's lost every FBS game he's played this season our best chance to win? What logical reason can you offer that he gives us a better chance than White or Geriner? This is his ceiling. He's shown it game in and game out.

Yeah, but this play is clearly an RPO. You can see KLS running a route.
I think Freeze is full of shite to be honest. Look at time. That play literally came out of a timeout.

There is no data on White. Most freshmen aren’t ready. That’s why they very rarely start.
Are you assuming walker white converts that 4th down, and somehow magically makes Malcolm Simmons grip a dime of a throw in the end zone? Does walker white, who has NO reps with the 1’s, make cam Coleman run a proper 10yd route in the end zone?

Because 1: he has proven he can win against FBS teams many times over. 2. The other guys clearly are not proven or else they would be out there.
3. Hugh wants to win- he looks like a wreck and throwing players under the bus. If he had an actual QB that could actually help him he would shut down the Thorne experiment. But he does not. Why can you not comprehend that? What is the point to putting in inferior players?

With how the left side of our OL was blocking, that doesn’t look like an rpo. Receivers will run short go’s on run plays on occasion. Either way, play was a giant frick up.

You melting this much on a night that Bama loses makes one wonder.

Maybe he doesn't change calls, causing negative plays. Maybe he hits open receivers running across the field instead of throwing to covered receivers 30 yards down the field every passing play. Maybe he has a quicker release, completing passes and allowing the offense to get into a rhythm.
Who knows? We know what Thorne does though.

What FBS team has Thorne beaten this year? I'll wait.

I see you wrote about some things that didn’t happen today
Posted on 10/5/24 at 10:43 pm to MrLahey
Every one of those happened today. Every. One.

Did Hugh say anything about that 4th and 1?

Yes. Thorne changed the play. Shocker, I know.

I guess the only solution is firing our staff, then

Jang, at least we are in agreement on one thing. Thorne is the starter and we should stick with him.
He’s the best of the crappy QBs genius Hugh has brought in.

Of course you're not.

Again, there are run plays that aren’t an actual rpo, where the receiver will act like it is running a route, while still just being a straight run play. They don’t just stand there and block at the LOS ever run play. That doesn’t make it an RPO. The OL were straight run blocking with no regard for how far downfield they were.
Go look at the Jarquez TD run. The receiver at the top of the formation is running a route, but that play was a power read option. It helps keep defenders more honest so they don’t know when things actually are an RPO.
The play was still a giant frick up. No getting around that. We will never know the whole truth on what happened there. Just another example of us making dumbass mistakes and shooting ourselves in the foot.

Did he say what the play was supposed to be? To be honest it doesn't even really matter, if Thorne doesn't know not to do that by now that's still on Hugh.
