If you recruit bad 4 stars it’s still bad recruiting and bad talent it’s clear we don’t have a difference maker recruited in the past 3 years

Lee Hunter would be the only one I could think of.

Star ratings matter but can be quite over rated. You have to look no further than programs such as Wisconsin. They are always good and consistent, no matter what head coach they have.

He was a 5 star at one point. Got dropped a little even though he improved.

Jay Hardy - "recruited by all in the country"...and kicked off the team. He's from Tennessee and his former DL coach (Garner) is literally the DL coach at Tennessee and they didn't want him, despite the fact that half their team transferred out. He ended up at Liberty (where were the bigger offers?) and hasn't even played in a game as far as I can see. What exactly is this guy's talent supposed to be?

Also, Jaren Handy has a whopping ZERO sacks for an Indiana team that is 2-8. Barely even getting on the field on a 2-win team in the Big Ten.

Those two guys were gone for a reason; neither guy accomplished anything here, and they weren't recruited by any legitimate programs when they left. Even Truesdell who is the definition of average (or less) managed to land at Florida somehow - but these two "elite recruits" were left unwanted. Neither player have proven to be as talented as their recruiting ranking, despite both moving DOWN in competition. Eku Leota had 4 sacks as a reserve player in the Big Ten last season and Jaren Handy can't even record 1, but it was joked about when we brought in Leota LOL.
