I’m sure Duke might jump us as the overall seed with the Tournament.

If we end up losing the SEC tourny game Friday, is there any chance Duke takes the South?

ATL would be huge for us after the first few games. It basically would be home
Games until the FF!

People still project Auburn to Atlanta in an apologetic kind of way. Need to win at Friday just in case.

I think Duke would prefer the East.

From Lunardi today
quote:

"But Auburn was so far ahead of the field that they were able to take these two losses and could conceivably lose their quarterfinal in Nashville this coming week. And still hold on to the No. 1 overall seed. Did I mention 16 quad 1 wins. And they're 16-4 against quad 1 overall. Nobody's even close to that. I'd be shocked if a week from right now, Auburn isn't the first name called on the selection show," Lunardi finished.

ETA: this isn’t football and the selection committee equally weighs the entire season, unlike CFB. That’s why you regularly see teams get hot at the end of the year that struggled early but still get left out and the fans are up in arms over it.

Not arguing you but I’m glad they do. Otherwise a team like UGA wouldn’t get penalized for sucking arse for 2/3s of the basketball season and get rewarded for finally playing to their potential the last 2 weeks of the season. AU still has the most quad 1 wins which is more than double Duke
