I’m guessing the narrative would be that it was Arnette, but the Leach thing made Freeze go off the list
You'd still think he would have at least been mentioned down the list, but yeah probably something like that lol.

I'm more interested in how any one will be able to spin this as a good hire.

I’m guessing Freeze had a hell of a time getting coordinator level college coaches on board

Roberts is rumored to be the top DC candidate for Arkansas. He has a lot of experience and has been mostly successful everywhere he’s been. I think it surprised a lot of people when he was fired at Baylor.

I was hoping we were waiting on someone in a bowl game. Hires seem lackluster. Worse than Harsin hires his first year for sure.

Someone said Nate King mentioned his name a couple of days ago. If true, at least that's one guy with half a clue of whats going on lol.

Baylor was 120 in the country is 3rd down conversions and 121 in the country in allowing opponents to score in the red zone. ( 91% )

King is smart enough to know that Auburn and Arkansas’s DC candidates should overlap some

I was very interested in Arky’s hot board. He was mentioned on most of theirs

Guessing that's from this year? I saw someone else say they lost 4 starters to the draft. Not sure if that's true because I'm too lazy to look it up lol.. but that could explain some of the drop off.

Well…. Who knows how this will turn out. I was negative with all things Harsin and am really trying to become more of an optimist.

Meh…that’s one year. His history is solid and we should provide him better athletes.

Hoke also reporting.

Left Arky at the alter once again

He's older anyway. He's a stop gap until Zac or TWill are ready in a few years

For real though, not anything close to a flashy hire, but he's done some good things in his career so I'm not going to bitch about it. At least its not Charles Kelly

Who mentioned Montgomery first yesterday? Was that King as well? If so very impressive for him getting the word on both early.

Well at least Freeze isn't wasting time. As soon as the the recruiting weekend was over he made the hires.

Edit- I think the only thing left is WR coach and figuring out who will coach ST
