Might want to watch that again. He basically said if you don't want to work or do the right things then hit the portal. Now he did announce his starting QB which was to be expected but I don't know how the QBs at CU are. So looks like a continued Air Raid game.

How many days has it been since Freeze was announced as the HC? I'd hope we take our time on hiring coordinators, and not rush and get stuck with trying to defend a Loeffler hire or worse. Portal be damned, instant success isn't the goal, sustainability is! Get the right guys, not a Bobo or the kid who played QB for Freeze when he was in HS!

Freeze probably knows a little more about these coaches, and what they are capable of, than any of us do. He probably has in depth discussions about scheme, recruiting, and expectations. He can probably sense if someone is a bad coach, full of shite, or a bad fit for any reason. Look at how long some guys coach before they win a championship as part of a staff, but when put in the right mix of coaches with the right players they're suddenly great. For now I'm going to trust Freeze's football IQ and judgement until I have a reason not to

I was under the impression that Freeze already had his DC informed and in the fold. If he is actually striking out then already having a DL coach is weird.

I think Freeze knows, and all the noise is speculation from asshats who know nothing more about who it will be than my 7 year old son does

Makes sense for sure. I’m just getting a little antsy I guess, I was hoping we would have heard something by now based on the facts that Freeze said he had gotten “so many texts” from coaches and most teams seasons were over 8 days ago, and we’ve named every other coach pretty much.

Yep well Prime just pulled a DC and position coach we would have loved to have, and we still don’t have a DC.
Prime is a CEO coach. His success is very much going to be tied to his coordinators and staff.

So Bama secondary coaches basically, which was the worst secondary I can remember in a long time at Bama. Gave up lots of big plays and had a ton of penalties, Imthink Saban is gonna clean house except some of his best recruiters.

Auburn really fricked it up by not hiring Deion. I hope freeze can put it together.

Would have been ok with TRob. Did not want Kelly. Bama defense has not been that great lately.
