I am old enough to remember people poopooing the hiring of a certain coach from Wyoming because he had a weak resume.

You probably were happy with the Freeze hiring.

I was incredibly disappointed and that the whole coaching search was embarrassing but I can find the silver lining in anything so I supported.
I wanted kiffin.
I would've taken deion before hugh.

Excuse me? Pat Dye was an assistant coach at the most dominant program in the country for 8 seasons (Alabama) and had been a successful HC at two smaller schools before getting the Auburn job.
Cadillac Williams has literally coached at ZERO other NCAA schools. Not one. And if his name wasn't "Cadillac Williams", there is ZERO chance that Auburn is hiring him as the RB coach coming out of the freaking AAF. If his name was Steven Williams, there is a 0% chance that he lands the RB job at Auburn in 2019, at which point what is even his career projection right now? Where would he be coaching, considering that it doesn't seem like there is really any rush by any other half-decent school to hire him. Would he still be coaching in the AAF? Would he be the RB coach at some HS in Alabama?
These two are not even remotely comparable LMFAO.

Lane and Lanning
somewhere down the list Mullen should be mentioned. Not flashy but has proven track record with qb's and good offenses. I'd take Mullen over Lashlee
We might could get Dabo too but I don't want him if he down buy in to NIL

Hiring Caddillac is akin to Auburn basketball hiring Dylan Cardwell right now
Makes zero sense other than loyalty to good memories.

Excuse me Dye was a head coach a Wyoming. People didnt think that was good enough for Auburn at the time. If you hhavent figured it out I want someone that cares about this program and its history of running the ball. It doesn't necessarily have to be Cadillac but Freeze doesn't have what it takes.

I don't want Lashlee but Mullen is a childish buffoon. We don't need a head coach starting fights on the field. Besides, if he wasn't good enough for the Florida job, he doesn't have much chance of success at Auburn.

We should watch with diligence what Lebby does.

He isn’t getting enough attention. What he has done at state is very impressive. Took over a gutted program and have them competing every week in a few years.

Id be cool with kicking the tires on jon gruden if that quote about him dying to coach in the sec isnt ai.

Lebby has done a pretty good job at Mississippi State so far but I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't something in his contract about keeping his father in law away from the campus.

I don’t believe Auburn will make an offer Kiffin is willing to accept.

I don't even think Auburn is a better job than Ole Miss right now anyway
