What DL success are you speaking of? We cannot get to the QB without blitzing.

It amazes me sometimes how with all the things we can be pissed about people choose the things that are actually working to bitch about. Through the past 3 games no one has been able to run up the middle on us because of our DL stonewalling team's interiors. Teams have adopted quick 3 step drop passing games because of the pressure getting to the QB. Would I like more sacks? Absolutely but to say our DL has not had any success is dumb & Carl has had a big part in our DL controlling the line of scrimmage

Carl Lawson has as many QB hurries as Myles Garrett.

He is underperforming and can't finish but the guy is disrupting shite

Did I not just witness an aTm true freshman running back have 8 carries for 127 yards against Auburn? Not to mention Knight exploited DE's running too far up field a couple times as well. Our DL and LB units have been solid against the run but I wouldn't consider our DL a success story. Their number one objective was to be in Knight's face and force him into his typical stupid decisions and they didn't.

89 of those came on one long run with 6:52 in the game. Sure it sucks we gave the play up but that was like the 79th or 80th play on the day for our defense

Agreed but he did that because guys were breaking free & not finishing the play. Again I fully agree that we have to get better at finishing I just disagree with the lack of success comment

That's where I disagree. Against Clemson we literally forced them to run 1 play which is a hard to execute backshoulder throw to their star WR & props to them to they got it done. Our secondary busted twice against Arkansas State but they found much of nothing up front along with 4 sacks. A&M's first half offense was basically Knight making plays with his feet because of our pressure up front.

We need to start finishing these plays up front absolutely but I really don't understand how anyone with all the shite going on with this team would point to the DL as a problem. It's just baffling

Did I say the DL has been our problem? Cuh mon now.

Our D line has played slightly above average. But hell look at our talent and depth. We could be playing better.

Fair enough but you did say "What DL success are you speaking of" which is pretty dumb

I will agree with that just completely disagree with the lack of success comment. Overall I have been happy with our DL. Just need them to finish on some of those sack opportunities moving forward

Yeah, he's not a first round draft pick like he's projected to be.

Finally made since plays tonight. That sack at the end was huge because it cost them thier last time out.

TTs was it you that said he needs to lose some weight? Looks thicker this year but not in a good way.

Yea, that was me. I think he needs to slim down to 245-250. I read that he was playing around 260. He doesn't seem to have the same burst this year...

He's been ~255 basically his entire time here. He doesn't look any different physically. The drop in burst is likely injury related.
