You knew folks would get emotional and start this. Love Caddy, but to be honest, if you gave him the job, it wouldn’t really be fair to him because you know he’s not ready for that. He’s a cheerleader right now. If he got the job it would go bad and it would sour Auburn people and hurt his career.

I disagree.
We could help his career at the same time he helps us.
A little healing goes a long way. Give the kids some stability and if Carnell doesn’t work out at the end of next season the job market might look a little better.
ETA: if Harsin was given a year and a half then Carnell deserves a year and a half if he wants it.
My stomach turns thinking about Hugh Freeze and then I hear Caddy and see the gleam in his guys.
In my gut I know we won’t get Lane or Prime.
We could help his career at the same time he helps us.

Caddie won't be the next head coach At Auburn.
We will learn a lot about our AD in this search but I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's much more level-headed than that.

Not an Auburn fan, but I’ve always really liked and respected Cadillac. That postgame speech was great, and he obviously has those kids believing.
As an Arkansas fan, I’m glad we played you guys with Harsin still at the helm, because I sure as hell wouldn’t want to play the team that fought for their head coach like the one that came out this past weekend against MSU.
Mark my words - Auburn beats A&M this coming weekend.
