Willis took all fault of not being successful at AU on his own. Said he didn’t prepare enough, didn’t study the play book enough and wasn’t committed to the process to be a QB at AU.
But boy how dumb we’re all the coaches to allow a horrible judge of QBs as Gus to allow him to pick up such a superior talent as Malik.

I agree that it is still not a done deal but it's close,very close. Luke might just come with him as offensive line coach. Kirby would not have him on staff at Georgia if he was not an outstanding line coach.
Freeze wants redemption as well as Aubie and the rest of us when we screw up.
I would expect Freeze to work his butt off with this opportunity should it come his way. It has the potential to be a dynamite hire.

Deion has less experience than any HC coach ever listed for a possible position at Auburn. And you yokels want to give him the job? So foolish

I actually don't. I think he's about as good at developing QBs as I am. I think the 2nd greatest trick that the devil ever pulled was making you think he could "develop" a QB.

Kelly was a top prospect, sure fire NFL QB when he got to Clemson. He left Ole Miss as an undrafted free agent with a drinking problem. But yeah, he didn't regress

Maybe check back after Harsin gets canned, if he does. We hire an AD, and the season is over and we start the search?

Any AD at a major D1 program, that hires a coach with only 2 years of college experience, is taking a massive risk and their job, and future jobs will be at greatly impacted. It is more likely that someone with little, to no experience will flop, than it is they will succeed.

What you are underestimating is the ability to sell the program. Just as our basketball program needed a master salesman that brought everyone together, so does our football program now, especially with NIL and portal.
Auburn has always made bad to mediocre coaches look great. Not the other way around.
ETA: And Auburn NEEDS to take a major “risk” right now. Not saying Prime IS the answer but we definitely need a master salesman that UNITES ALL FRONTS.
