My meager (edit: humble) observations from reading the last 5-6 pages, in order of importance:

1. greygoose is a HUGE yikes. If you make me LIKE jang in your convos, you need a real awakening. Maybe just take a few hours off and recalibrate.

2. Deion would be awesome. If you doubt how exciting that would be for Auburn, you’re insane. And if you think it being extremely exciting is a bad thing, you’re insane.

3. Don’t want kiffin. I just don’t think he’s that good. Fleck is doing well again it seems. Who is NC States coach? He will be looking for the next step this year.

4. Deion. Sanders. Bitch. Bring your son and Travis Hunter and this program does a literal 180 overnight.

Will Prime keep Caddy?

Who the heck would he else would he hire? Guy has no coaching tree and I doubt season coaches are lining up to coach under someone with no experience at our revolving door.

Tier 1 Aranda, Kiffin, Matt Rhule

Tier 2 Deion, Dan Quinn

Tier 3: Freeze, Urban Meyer, Jason Garrett

Tier 4: BOB, Muschamp, Steele, Rhett Lashlee

Tier 5: Bill fricking Clark

Solid List but I'd throw Dan Mullen in there around Tier 2 / 3 and drop Lashlee to Tier 5 with Clark.

I like Mullen. He can be an offensive savant at times. His recruiting sucks though. He’s a solid 3.

I'd take Dan as an OC, but not as an HC.

But at the same time, frick him for 2010.

He also has former Minnesota Vikings HC Mike Zimmer on his staff as an Analyst. At Jackson State.

That's like saying, former CEO of GE, is now flipping burgers at McDonalds.

quote:

However, despite the fact that he has little to no coaching experience (as you mentioned), his staff at FCS Jackson State is better than a lot of FBS football staffs
And with that awesome staff, and tons of talent he brought in, JSU still got curb stomped in their bowl game.

quote:

His team is also blowing the competition away. Through four games they've scored 190 points and conceded just 37.
Apparently, my previous post documenting the combined record of JSU first four opponents, was not read. The best team JSU has played is 2-2. Two of their other opponents are winless.

Harsin was the best coach in the Mountain West.

I just don't get how some think this would be a homerun hire. Why didn't Florida hire him? LSU? Do the collective minds of the Primetime Fan Club know more than seasoned professional, who do this shite for a living? This is the equivalent of buying into the Kardashian phenomena. You want what you think to be true, and no amount of logic, or reasonable doubt, will disway you from delusions of grandeur over a particular coach with just a little more experience at that, than I do. And I have ZERO.

Dabo had zero coaching experience before Clemson.
Dabo was GA under Stallings at Alabama. He was an assistant under Tommy Bowden for 6 years, before being name interm HC. The rest is history.

Sanders coached HS a few years, then became the HC at a FBS school in 2020. He's never been an assistant and he's never coached at an FCS school.

He could easily fail.
That's putting it mildly. The jump from SWAC to SEC, is vast. Could he succeed? Possibly, but those odds are astronomical.

Usually I am neutral in your replies and let it be...but you evidently don't do much research or just skim it because you would expect some of their opponents to be either below .500 or in the case of Miss Valley to be winless. Their opening games they are cannon fodder for the likes of UNC, UAB, etc.
I am not trying to pile on but do some research. He has stepped up his league that he is in and deserves some respect for that accomplishment. He has a decent coaching staff. Yeah he plays his sons but so what...

So just say you don't prefer him as the next coach and you prefer coach x because of why...but right now...you just whipped you thing and put it on the table and every post it is just shrinking for both you and Jang. Time to just zip it back up and move on...

People, like you, reply to my posts. One even insinuated that I was racist. I reply to those posts. If you like Coach X and I like Coach Y, so be it. The problems is, some want others silenced that disagree, while they can shitpost with immunity.

Isn’t funny how far. a hip Kelly has fallen as no mention. BTW, he’s a terrible fit because of his west coast background, just have not seen him mentioned
