Well, if Caddy's Associate Head Coach, which is the title Zac had, I wouldn't be surprised if Zac walks now

I wouldn't be mad if Freeze brought McGriff back to coach DBs. We had a solid secondary during his one season. Seems Carlton Davis went from very good to shutdown under his coaching.

Do not want him as DC though. Freeze needs anhomerun DC hire and I think this thing gets back on track rather quickly.

Did she get a settlement out of all this? If she did, why wouldn't there be orders in that agreement to not discuss it publicly any more? At what point does it become beating a dead horse?
The details are really vague. It seems that most of the plaintiffs settled and then the plaintiff's attorney dropped the case. At this point it seems like she is basically just a professional malcontent.

Luke is an elite OL coach. If he can pull him out of retirement (which he's relatively young from what I remember) it will be a fantastic start to a good staff.

someone asked if he planned on calling plays. he said he has called plays his entire career but because of some of the texts he has received from people who are interested in being OC, it has made him consider handing over duties to someone else and collaborating with them. i guess he was implying some of the OC candidates are high quality coaches who know how to call plays well, so that's encouraging

Correct.

He also came back to considering giving up play calling so that he can have even better relationships with his players. I imagine playcalling will still be within his scheme so Luke would’ve made sense if he needed to offer Luke something

Luke said essentially he needed a break and winning the natty became a good point to do it. Didn’t mention how long he wanted or needed.

FWIW, KN had an interview with a former staffer of Freeze and that person (anonymous) said Freeze creates a very family friendly environment around the football facility where kids and whatnot are allowed to be around

Might be helpful in luring a guy like Matt Luke who cited his kids as a reason to take a break

Has anyone seen it reported what kind of budget he's going to have for assistants? Surely they can go big since we aren't paying top tier money for the HC.

No, but if you take what Kiffin would've gotten and give it to staff, I think it's probably the highest in the country.

If that's just on the field coaching it's insanely high to the point it seems unbelievable haha

For context the very very highest paid coordinators are around $2mm. Should be able to get very good coordinators for $1.5-1.75 or $2 if we want to try to poach. Everyone below that should be $300-500k
