Well, if Caddy's Associate Head Coach, which is the title Zac had, I wouldn't be surprised if Zac walks now.

He still was secondary coach, but that secondary during the iron bowl was a few steps behind and likely lost the game for us other than refs and that pivotal "Muff from a foot away" turnover

He might still stay. He’s likely not getting the AHC tag anywhere else.

I like Zac and he is a good recruiter. As a coach, as of now, i'm take him or leave him. Our secondary has had some struggles.

If anyone is watching this press conference and can't get behind Freeze, just leave. I was indifferent yesterday and in 15 minutes my opinion of him has completely changed. 100% on board with this. It's going to be a great ride!

still don't really like him but i think he will succeed at AU especially because he has the bankroll behind him. he is savvy and knows the right things to say and elbows to rub, e.g. he was honoring Coach Carnell a lot and also showing love to Coach Pearl, very smart moves to make at intro press conference. i genuinely think he loves auburn and will sell it very well in recruiting. he also said he was willing to hand over play calling, or at least collaborate with his OC on that duty, which shows he is willing to mold and adapt his offensive scheme to changing defenses, something Gus never really did. if he stays out of trouble off the field he will work out really well i think. i was hoping for a more "exciting" hire, but i do think he knows what it will take to succeed at auburn and will work as hard as he can to do that.

I think he will be successful, grateful for the opportunity we gave him, and as a result loyal. Sound like anyone else we employ?

So what is the deal about Hugh not calling plays.
I see that Luke is associate HC at Georgia.
Is Luke gonna call plays for us?

Did the Matt Luke thing actually come from a pay site? Or just speculation?
Posted on 11/29/22 at 11:12 am to Weagle25
I can’t remember which one, but it came from one of our pay sites.

Luke resigned mid season is what I heard. Knew pimp daddy Freeze was coming to Auburn and quit?

You may know this but Luke isn’t coaching this season

Freeze said he always calls plays.

He resigned in February

someone asked if he planned on calling plays. he said he has called plays his entire career but because of some of the texts he has received from people who are interested in being OC, it has made him consider handing over duties to someone else and collaborating with them. i guess he was implying some of the OC candidates are high quality coaches who know how to call plays well, so that's encouraging
