Edited out my mistake..
Obviously Rhet isn't ready for the Auburn Job, but, I'm not sure anybody besides God qualifies for our whiney arse fans...
I know Chip Kelly has crootin' issues, but we just built a GD $100 million facility, loaded up on NIL, and there are plenty of Auburn Alums (DC, CW, etc.) Who can hit the recruiting trail, while Chip runs O.
Bring in a fricking beast D-staff, and let's kick some fricking arse..
I want prime, first and foremost, but, if you don't think Chip Kelly could get us on the right track, something is wrong with you.
That MF got UCLA into the top 10, and the only people in the stands were the players families...
Yeah, they fell off down the stretch, but, what do you expect, it's UCLA...

Chip Kelly might be a better option in the era of NIL, as opposed to 5 years ago. He's not on my wish list, but I wouldn't freak out if we got him.
I've heard the cupboard isn't as bare as we think, and while no one's signed a deal, it's not panic mode (yet)...

I'm wondering why Todd Monken hasn't really been mentioned anywhere so far. Not saying I want him, but I'd certainly take him over some of the other names that have been brought up at this point. He at least seems like a solid hire on paper. Does he not want to be a HC again?

He was calling the plays the year we won b2b vs. UGA and the gumps @ #1..
That was Chip Lindsay. I think Rhett had moved on to UConn at that point.

Waiting for 10 am. I think if we announce today it will probably be around then

I thought he left after that season; my bad, if so...
Edit: I just looked it up, and, of course you're right. I remember now, I had gotten so used to that MF, I called him (Chip) Rhet that whole damn season...

Also, did y'all know there's an outside chance that we could make a bowl?
If NMSU loses their appeal to become bowl eligible (only played 11 games due to the SJSU game being cancelled), and Buffalo loses this weekend, then that leaves Rice, UNLV, and Auburn as the 3 highest rated APR teams at 5-7.
Rice is definitely going to a bowl. So I'm not saying it's likely, but weirder shite has definitely happened this year.

It's all about who will bring the most money.

I’m hitching my wagon to Franklin.
I don’t care for him but he is way better than Freeze and the other idiot 3/4s of this board was jizzing in their pants for

I haven’t heard PJ Fleck mentioned this time around. He’s the guy I wanted when we hired Harsin. He makes $5M per year and has a $10M buyout (drops to $7.5 on Jan. 1). Would anybody else be happy to see his name surface as a target?

The case for Franklin.
1. Strong recruiter
2. Multiple 10 win seasons
3. SEC experience
The case against Franklin
1. He is not coming
2. See number 1
I would love to be wrong as Franklin is better than a lot of the names we are realistically talking about, but this just seems like an obvious ploy to get more money out of PSU. Franklin has done this multiple times after decent seasons. Funnily enough, I don't think PSU fans care for him that much.

Since arriving at Penn State Franklin is 2-15 vs top 10 teams and 1-10 vs top 5 opponents.
If we wanted those type numbers, why didn't we just keep Malzahn?
You willing to pay top five money for that? Talk about having to overpay.
Some of you people need to do some research.

Why would Franklin leave #8 ranked Penn St?
Posted on 11/28/22 at 9:11 am to AU86
Franklin loses to OSU and Michigan more often than not. We fired Gus for beating the garbage and losing to Bama, UGA, and LSU more often than not. Pass.
