I am accusing him of being dumb. He inserted himself in a situation where his university was being sued.
And let's be clear, it is not like he just made some vague show of support, posting on social media. He messaged an alleged victim who was suing the University.
I am sorry, but that is just poor judgement.
He drew the attention to himself by his own dumbass action.
And while we are it, sure everyone may have been cheating to get recruits, but was any other coach dumb enough to challenge people publicly to prove it?

Are you really too dense to see it was a dumb decision and reflects poor judgement?
I can guarantee you Liberty would have told him not to message her.
Spin it all you want, it was a dumb thing to do.
You can say he is a good coach, good recruiter etc. but Christ, can't you acknowledge that messaging that person was a dumb move?

when you look at Hugh Freeze’s coaching career as a whole, that’s a pattern of controversy and drama. Auburn doesn’t need that kind of cloud continually hanging over it.
We don't have sec proven winning coaches begging us to hire him and cfb teams don't win on fake morals. Half people named in here would laugh at Auburn just because all the hiring and firing and and whiny fan base. So he's is the best on the field proven head coach we have wanting to coach here. If he works outs then no one will care about the whiners and if he doesn't then we lost the safest gamble we had and all the whiners can look for a Saint to hire.

It’s more complex than that. Hugh Freeze may be a good coach, and I believe he is. I don’t think he’s a great coach. The violations committed at Ole Miss may be excusable; the DM to Chelsea Andrews might also be excusable. But the both of them together, and when you look at Hugh Freeze’s coaching career as a whole, that’s a pattern of controversy and drama. Auburn doesn’t need that kind of cloud continually hanging over it.
Freeze got caught doing what everybody else was doing. Now that shite is legal, so no worries about that. He DM'd some chick that was attacking his friend, stating that he knows him as a class act. He was not involved in any rape, nor was any of his players. He wasn't involved in any cover up of the allegations. Yes he was dumb to do that, but holy shite, a lot have done far worse and wasn't villified near as much as he is on this board alone.
On the plus side, he's a proven winner, recruiter and program builder. Three things we desperately need right now. Cherry on top of all the the big Freeze sundae is, he'll probably come relatively cheap and agree to an incentive based contract.

If we are gonna add not doing stupid shite to the job description then we will have to hire IBM Watson to coach and call the plays.
