Cohen really fricked himself with his 58 points speech, a couple were SEC exp, head coach, understanding SEC culture. I guess he thought he had Kiffin in the bag and that all sounded good. Turns out Kiffin is a nut job. Freeze is the only guy that is gonna measure those metrics.

I’m sure they already knew about it and so did Auburn. The whole purpose of those “search committees” is to dig up skeletons. That was already a well known instance.

Freeze is not accused of anything, he just took up for his boss. Amounts to a bunch of woke people trying to cancel a guy for defending his boss.

The team is getting back around 10:30p (ET or CT???). Would they have a team meeting at that point to introduce them to St. Freeze?

It’s odd how quiet things are on the HC tonight. I figured it would be lots of updates. Makes you wonder if leadership is trying to figure out next steps or if they’re moving forward with Hugh.

I'm still holding out hope for Fickell. He'd be a splash hire and far less divisive than Freeze.

It’s more complex than that. Hugh Freeze may be a good coach, and I believe he is. I don’t think he’s a great coach. The violations committed at Ole Miss may be excusable; the DM to Chelsea Andrews might also be excusable. But the both of them together, and when you look at Hugh Freeze’s coaching career as a whole, that’s a pattern of controversy and drama. Auburn doesn’t need that kind of cloud continually hanging over it.
