ETA: It also seems weird we flipped 2 4 star recruits in the last two days. Seems like people on the staff know what is going down, so I don’t know how they would be disrespected.

I don't mind getting down voted.
As I understand this morning it is still a 3 man race and may stretch out to Monday.
Auburn did not like what Kiffin did on Twitter last night one bit.
Jang and others will get pissed but Freeze is in the thick of it especially with Kiffins antics last night.

If Auburn is pissy about twitter antics already, they need to get a stick out of their arse. Why would you even look at kiffin if you didn't like twitter antics?

Coaching searches are always strange. I would have of course accepted LK, but he was not my first choice.

If Auburn went from full boar head over heels ready to pay Lane whatever he wanted to poach him to not wanting to hire him because of the events over the past week.. then that is embarrassing on our end. Especially considering this all got silly simply because we fired Harsin mid season and then leaked Kiffin interest. It became a tough situation for Lane.
I have no idea what to believe though.

I’m fine with Freeze… like I earlier stated, all HC’s are either scumbags, liars or manipulators…. We need to embrace the black hat and find a winner and to hell with the opinion of others

I get the family thing but his kids wanting to stay in Oxford doesn’t move the ceiling for OM. Once Auburn gets back on track they will be #5 in the west even with LK at the helm.

Freeze is a solid option if true. He’s a very solid coach, especially for big games but is likely going to drop an inexcusable loss or two every year. His schtick is going to be annoying but like with Kiffin, if he wins then no one will mind. Gotta hope he can recruit as well as he did before, without the prostitutes.

I heard a few reports say this week that freeze wasnt contacted much at all recently. Sexton is the source and is making a last ditch effort to get more money from Auburn.

I’m probably done with auburn football if we hire Freeze. I suspect many others feel the same way. This would be a terrible move regardless of his coaching abilities. You can’t seriously sit there with a straight face and tell me Hugh freaking Freeze is the best option we could score with all the money we have. That’s embarrassing. You spend millions of dollars to fire Gus and potato head just to hire Gus 2.0 (Bucktooth edition) and make us the laughing stock of the SEC.
