According to fake SI Freeze still leads

Says in the article Lane is the frontrunner

So this guy says auburn is the number one open spot in the country but that hugh freeze is the best fit out of all the possible guys. I don’t get that.

And not that any of you care, but if we hire Freeze I promise you I will never watch an auburn football game until he is gone.

Let me guess, you think Freeze isn't very good?

His point is actually pretty true. Freeze would fit in perfectly for these reasons:

1) He'd be forever grateful to Auburn like Bruce Pearl was. He is uber hungry and would work like a dog and wants to be here more than anyone. Freeze actually wants this job; guys like Kiffin and Sanders would take it but don't see this as an end-goal.

2) He has already beaten everyone in the SEC and has a proven track-record just like Kiffin does.

3) He is an extremely good recruiter with connections all over the South-East, and he is also a much more driven recruiter than Kiffin is.

4) He actually has the personality and drive to schmooze and work boosters to raise NIL money and do all that shite which is in fact important here (this is where he has a big advantage over Kiffin who is aloof and withdrawn). Freeze actually likes doing that shite, he is very personable. Lane is actually an introvert who apparently just wants to chill at his beach home in Florida.

5) As stupid as it sounds, even his bible-thumping reverend persona fits Auburn. This is the school that made Chette Williams a known mainstay and public figure.

Again, everything apart from the off-field history is like 10/10 fit for Auburn and would what succeed here. He would kill it at this job. He really is that good.

I can’t disagree with anything you’ve said. Well written and thought out. I’m just too prideful to support him at this point, to be frank. I don’t want to support him. If we do end up with him, maybe I’ll come around once he starts to win. Just how I feel right now about it.

And keep in mind, I still don't think that Roberts signs off on Freeze so he's still a long-shot and would take missing on multiple options to enter the fray in my opinion.

But as ridiculous as it sounds, even with the known scandal and past issues, Freeze's personality fits perfectly at Auburn. He is outgoing and legitimately personable. Once he starts winning and people forget about the Ole Miss thing, he would be extremely liked here.

I really can't say the same for Lane. Not that he'd be disliked, but his personality is just different. So when one of these writers describes "fit", it's parameters such as these.

I’d be happy with either of the three. I feel uncertainty with Prime as what will we be getting as a game day coach? Yes, the recruiting factor will play high, but for how long when facing the meat grinder of the SECW? With Kiffin, how devoted to recruiting will he be and will he give AU 5+ years? I know Freeze will be the football version of Bruce as he will bd grateful for the job. How will he handle the negative recruiting thrown his way by all others? Once again, I think any of them would work and work well. I do think freeze would be the most loyal however. JMHO

All the Prime and Kiffin-ites only want to talk about scandal and avoid on the field coaching when comparing to Freeze. They want to say Prime will win because he can recruit or that they will be happy with 3 and 4 loss teams being our best win a year and its acceptable. That winning against the big teams don't matter. All because they just don't like Freeze and won't look at him as a coach and want the others to look better.

Freeze is a grade-A creep. We just fired a guy that had sexual deviance. Let’s not have that type of February, or in Freeze’s case, July/August again.
