You left out Temple was coming off a losing season and has just transitioned back into the Big East conference.

Rhule got them in the championship game twice in the three years he was there and won it once.

Your data fricking sucks dude. You paint a half picture of Rhule at both Baylor and Temple.

Right now it's hard to say as most are not apparent, Prime would really only be good for the recruiting and maybe the Aflac rival commercials, unless he somehow is sleeper successful coach, but we aren't in the experimental hiring time. Freeze is like Gus--never consistently successful. Grimes might be good for the Offensive mindset, but he hasn't been a head coach long enough either.

How is that not accurate to what I said? Winning championships other than Temple one time.

Some of you people wouldn’t know a good candidate if it slapped you in the face.

Saban/Dabo/Smart are going to be the only three coaches that will satisfy your criteria

Well, if there isn't an apparent homerun hire, why not Rhule?

He checks a lot more boxes than anyone else that's been named here. Plus, unless he decides to take a year or two off, he's available for negotiations immediately and could start as soon as we came to an agreement.

i do wonder how the AD hire comes into play with all of this. we still have to fill that role and likely we want whoever that is to make the hire so it's "their guy".

hopefully we don't drag our feet and miss out on a good candidate.

Hopefully we don't hire a shitty AD who needs the head coach to be *his guy* above all else.

I'd settle for Andy Reid too.

You think Auburn would take the first 2 seasons of Matt Rhule. Nope.

You think people wouldn’t be happy going from a 2 win team to a 6 win team? And then 6 wins to 10 wins? Are you nuts?

Then at Baylor went from 1 win to 7. Then 7 to 11? I mean what the frick is he supposed to do to impress you?

One thing is for certain and ADs should have secretly agreed to this in 2007, make bama, OM, UGA, whomever pay thru the nose to keep their coach.

Just think if every school made a run at Saban for every opening. bama would be paying him $20m a year.
Make your competitors bleed at every chance.

Go ahead shoot for another experiment with Rhule. Why can't we shoot for someone with a little more proven success? Are you saying you want another experiment?

Matt Rhule needs to be the head coach of this team. He has it put together at the college level. He would be the absolute best hire and we should be throwing zillions his way.

frick the Deion idiots.

Biggest worry is we don't fire Harsin till after the IB, and then wait until after he's fired to hire a AD

Nah, I'm not intimidated. This is just reeling the rod in on the first bite.

Intimidated? Lol

You’re just reading the tea leaves wrong. Not a first bite at all. An available big fish to consider.

You don’t even have a clue what a HR hire is because you couldn’t even answer the question. You just know Rhule is an experiment.

Gotcha.
