Winner - check
Pedigree - check
Experienced - check
Ties to the SEC - nope

Offense is based on the Petersen coaching ideas. Offense is leverage based (or numbers based). It would be considered a "pro style" offense. Will be lots of shifts, motions and such. Qb's will read the safety's on most plays. They do run the QB some an some option stuff especially RPO. The base offense will look very similar to Bammers. Do we have guys that get open by 6 yards every play? nope. Do we have a massive dominate OL? nope. So the offense will look very different will it be more successful we will have to see but it will be more complex especially for the QB position. TE's and HBacks are both used. I will get more in depth with the details of X's and O's after an announcement is made.

Most of his coaching career has been at Boise St. Hard Pass

We have no clue how well he will recruit. That is yet to be seen and probably won't show up until the 2023 class. The 2022 class will be based on needs I hope more then chasing stars. Identify kids that can help in the areas we need the help OL... and get some play makers at WR and let kick arse

I'm neutral on this hire. Was given the keys to a Ferrari at Boise and never once finished a season Top 10. But he didnt really have any bad seasons.

Will have to see how it goes. Worried about recruiting, but a better hire than Steele.

I’m intrigued and not disappointed. Impressed almost.

Development of players is what excites me most. He seems to do that well.

The guy has been trying to convince teenagers to come to Idaho. He did sign Boise's 2nd highest rated commit ever in 2019.

I have two questions about him:

1) is he comfortable using the middle of the field; and
2) does he give away his offensive plays before the first snap?

If the answer to 1) is yes a d 2) is no than let’s do this!!!

What's your opinion on Dell McGee being named oc? I've seen his name mentioned a few times with some other names that were thrown out. I know he's an elite recruiter and with Harsin's background that would allow him to learn on the fly.

How are the players reacting on Twitter? I'm not on twitter.

If they are excited that will tell you how the high school players will feel they will get the excitement from the players already on the team.

Would love to see him bring Boom in as DC (along withTRob). That would take care of some of the recruiting concerns.

Wonder if Harsin will call up his old friend Major Applewhite for OC.

I don't see why this is such a big issue for some. Recruiting is just talking to players and parents when you boil it down to the lowest form. And Auburn will sell itself to some degree.

Honestly from watching some videos and reading about him, he seems like a pure football coach who can actually make guys better football players. That alone is exciting to me.

He just got a job. South Alabama I believe.

ETA: Yeah but it is the OC at USA. Maybe he can pry him away before he settles in.

I would love for Dell to come home especially with his ties to Georgia but when momma needed him before he said no. Maybe it was the constant turmoil around hotseat stuff about Gus every year. I'm more interested in WR and OL coach. I wouldn't mind keeping Bicknell but will let the coach decide that. Kodi has to go.

Absolutely. I doubt Champ is gonna be in a hurry to take any job right now. Much less his 3rd stint as DC here.

I would be hype for it though. Just for the recruiting.

If he can recruit to fit his style he'll be a better recruiter.
