The same reason I've said multiple times. Again I know it can't and won't happen and I'm fine with it for the reasons already pointed out. But, like I said, our offense without Duke and Sammie is much more suited for a QB like Miller.

The Auburn board has go to crap thanks to threads like this one. Lurkers enjoy because it's hilarious to me also.

The lurkers are laughing at the people who post things like JJ is the next Tom Brady and a gif of him sliding after a 6 yard run as proof he can the read option with no problems.

A QB like Johnson will boost the play of the receivers. Your analysis of the receiver position is not accurate to reality. We have guys there that can play, but simply don't because there is no way to get them the football when we are running our current offense with Marshall. Guys like Marcus Davis can't even get onto the field and all that kid does is catch balls when they are thrown to him. Look at the way we currently use our receivers: Duke is the main target, Coates is there for deep balls, and Louis runs sweeps...that is basically it. Uzomah is virtually unused until we get close to the end-zone, and the others maybe get a ball or two thrown their way and often times go games without recording a catch. They are drastically stunted.

A passing QB will completely change the outlook at the receiver position. Besides, I think you're starting to get to the point where it becomes likely that one if not both of Duke and Sammie returns. One guy will have played literally less than a full season of college ball and is currently out with a knee injury, and the other guy is having a terrible statistical season with a shite ton of drops. Reality becomes much more clear as the draft approaches for those two.

He ran the read option and was not touched after 6 yards. If we could do that every time we would win every game bro. Also, Gus hasn't let him take a hit. Have to imagine he will be able to break some tackles with his frame.

The Tom Brady reference was way way too far. He is more accurate than any QB we've had in years but he isn't that elite.
