I am honestly shocked Auburn allows the QB to go on a bama hosted radio show every week to talk - seemingly unscripted.

He does have the size. I’m surprised he doesn’t play much. I’m also surprised Demetrius Robertson didn’t play at all last game. We need all talent on deck right now. Bo has his own issues but come on..

People have totally forgotten the good from Bo. His inconsistency is definitely aggravating but there have been some really bright moments and a few overall bright games. He definitely always leaves you wanting more but you can’t just forget all the good he has brought

People have not forgotten.
People have higher expectations of a third year starting QB. I don’t get the need to constantly defend Bo. He isn’t consistent and his technique is spotty.
He still may be the best option Auburn has right now, but he really should be so much further along despite some of the deficiencies at OL and WR.

I agree. It shouldn’t be blasphemy questioning Nix’s development and play. It’s his third year starting and his game tape looks a lot like it did his freshman year. His stats are similar too.
Let’s not forgot how much training and practice he’s gotten during his lifetime. Favorable camps, weight and diet training, dad was a QB, his whole life has been about football to this point. No one is beating up on him, but he’s had every advantage and still can’t seem to take the next step.

I’m not even defending him and I understand that. I just don’t think he’s chopped liver.

I don’t think he is chopped liver. The kid has the talent to be a very good QB, but there are freshmen mistakes he makes and tendencies he doesn’t seem to move away from.
Again, he will be playing and let’s see what happens.

I just don't see how you pull a 3 year starter, the backup comes in and leads the team to a win, then start the guy you had to pull. Great way to lose a team.

I didn’t say he would start, but he will play QB for Auburn. I have no idea when. Could be starting Saturday, come in later, not at all next game. I have no idea, I just said he will play again.

As a third year QB I don’t think Bo has a solid foundation to be built on, nor a solid talent pool to rely on. Seth, Stove, and Schwartz were what 90% of total catches last year? Bo needs to be a game manager and we need him to be a game breaker.
Bo had Gus and Dilly (then) Gus and Chad in the no huddle spread,, and now he has Harsin and Bobo in a brand new offensive system. That’s no easy task.
shite I don’t even remember our last QB that started 3 years for us.

Look I have read all your posts and others. Sorry, it’s the things under his control that he still has not advanced that is the issue for me. There should be an advantage playing in his third year. He played starting QB in every game Auburn has played during his time here. He shouldn’t be looking rattled like a freshman against a GSU.
I expect more. I don’t expect perfection and I do give him consideration for having some poor line play and now bad receivers but he was inaccurate when he had some good receivers.
I don’t begrudge any of you still standing behind him, and I will support him when he plays, but I also have lost trust and faith in him becoming the QB he has the talent to be.
This in no way suggest I am fully behind TJ because that wouldn’t be accurate. I am hoping we can find ways to win despite our deficiencies all over the field.

quote:Here's the thing about Nix. Regardless of how many coaches he's had, or the players around him, his footwork is still shite and he has trouble checking down. At this point, it's starting to look like no amount of coaching is going to fix some of those those things.
