Bo Nix has a lot of character that does not get recognized enough by this board. Someone called him a terrible person, yet when i listen to him speak, he is courteous, respectful, and wise beyond his years

I made it one minute in and he said he felt like he played pretty good...

He can't be serious, right?

ETA: I'm not trying to pile on him by saying that or anything. I'd just love to hear some honesty and see have some accountability there. All he has to say is "I think it's obvious that I had a rough day. We didn't play well on offense all day. Glad TJ could come in and provide a spark and get out with a win."

That's it. I think the rest of the interview was and he was composed and polite. But to come out and just deny what we all saw is just odd.

Man I understand that he’s a 20 year old kid and I’m sure that the coaching staff wants him to put on some optimism.

He did not play well against an inferior opponent. This is year 3 and it’s the same Bo. He either doesn’t have it or still doesn’t have it yet.

This is not something I like to hear. You would think the HC would sit him down and at least give Bo the courtesy of letting him know why he was pulled. That is a coachable moment/light a fire under Bo's arse that was missed.

I played baseball into my mid 20's. I rarely sat. I was in a horrible slump. Skip pulled me in a game. I knew why, but he had the decency to come sit beside me, let me know why he did it, and gave me words of encouragement.

The entire team did not play well against an inferior opponent ... zero Offense line play and a total collapse of the defense until one of two starting linebackers came back into the game.

Not just one man ....If the line is opening holes for Tank and Hunter ....You run all day ....they stunk the place up. In fact Finley stunk the place up until that final drive.

Thread title is out of context. He was referring to speaking with Harsin about the starting job on Saturday. He answered fine saying he was sure it depended on this week's practice.

That being said, he answered tough questions. I am honestly shocked Auburn allows the QB to go on a bama hosted radio show every week to talk - seemingly unscripted.

The negatives to me on the interview were: (1) believing he played well and didn't understand why he was pulled, (2) calling out Auburn fans being upset about the teams play, (3) failure to own up to any responsibility.

I'm sure he may be a nice guy but the interview (videoed at that) didn't do him any good.

Nice kid. Great Parents! I appreciated all his family has done for Auburn University. He is in year 3 and is still not a good quarterback.

Just listened to it and totally agree with you about him speaking to Harsin.

Also, I think some people hear what they want to hear.

Given how rough getting benched must be, I thought he said the right things near the end. Continue to work hard, etc. It is concerning he did not take any real responsibility for what went wrong, but I don't think anything else was particularly eyebrow raising.

Some folks on here act like Bo Nix was the main problem on this team Saturday and that is just not the case.

The clusterfrick that was GA St was a total team effort.

Ah c'mon man! Bo is a good QB. He has won us some games in 2 years, that were on him.

But we do know he is not elite, and not consistent enough to win against the SEC week in, week out.

Those inconsistent tendencies is what had him benched...at least for a game.
