Zach Calzada couldn’t throw a TD against us at home. Do we want him?

Found this on the internet:

Yeah he had his faults. He sure af wasn’t smiling during losses though.

Don’t care where goes, he’s an Auburn man.

Man, this hurts. I was concerned long ago about the direction of the program, but losing a guy like Bo honestly wasn't even in my realm of possibility. It must be worse than I fear.

No worries. Gus, Jimbo or Dabo will put him to good use.

He no longer fits what our head man wants to do. It is what it is and it will be ok.

Probably passing for more than ~15 TD's a season and pretending like the QB is "great" for doing that. You know like modern 2021 offense type shite.

I look forward to seeing that unfold. However, an assessment of this season would suggest that's more your wishful thinking than any vision Harsin cast.

His assessment assumes Bo was the singular reason why our pass offense wasn’t very productive as well. He will sell you a QB from bumfrick FCS school though.

Rated behind ALL of:

Quinn Ewers
Cameron Ward
Dillon Gabriel
Spencer Rattler
Max Johnson
Kedon Slovis

Same rating (0.8800) as Myles Brennan and Zach Calzada.

He isn’t a 3*. That’s absurd.

Here's the article boss, he's actually the #7 rated QB...behind even Myles Brennan!

Probably a qb that can complete better than 60% of his passes for his career

Bo Nix: 11 TD passes on 323 pass attempts (0.034 TD/attempt)
TJ Finley: 5 TD passes on 91 pass attempts (0.055 TD/attempt)

And TJ Finley isn't even that good. In fact, he's terrible as per a lot of posters on here. But Bo Nix is a legend!

Do some of you not even realize that 5 of Nix's 11 passing TD's this season came against Akron and Alabama State? That's almost half his output. He has to be the least productive supposed "star" QB of the modern era. He has the passing output of a QB that would turn heads back in the 1960's maybe...

No doubt he has been bad. Not just this year but last year too. Seems like he won us over with his effort win against Oregon. I think it was easy to get caught up at that point since it was his first game, he basically carried us late and his circumstances coming to Auburn

He did not have a lot to work with this year, drops were plentiful, but overall is performance was lacking.

I have never like the spoil brat in him. Its one of the reasons I was hard on Cam. Dude was a bitch when he didnt get his way. You cant put it in peoples face when you win and cry like a bitch when things dont go your way.

I did not want Nix to leave. But, like yourself, I am a little interested in seeing what BH can get in here and do with it. No matter what, Nix would have always been tied to the previous coaching staff. Now we can just move on and give Harsin a chance to do his thing

Well for one, he was out two games.

2. He can’t block for himself, nor can he catch his own passes. Are you saying Slovis could’ve done better this past year?

3. He did have a couple bad games but there were plenty of games when the receivers didn’t have it together. Many games when OL were grading in the 50’s.

4. He ran the offense the way his OC wanted it to be run.

Context matters.

BTW Sean White threw over 350 passes for Auburn. 10 total TD passes in two years. And Chex still thinks he’s a super duper superstar.

So yeah, I’ll bunk that one too.
