The most highly-rated of the group and the prospect traveling the farthest is 5-star cornerback Tony Brown from Ozen in Beaumont, Texas.

Brown, who is rated the nation’s No. 2 cornerback and No. 14 overall prospect by 247Sports, will be visiting Auburn for the first time. He has two dozen offers with LSU considered the team to beat followed by Texas A&M, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State and Florida State.

Brown, who is a December graduate, has made several long trips the last couple of months, attending spring games at Florida State and Alabama. He plans to go on official visits this fall.

Also making the trek to Auburn for Big Cat is 4-star wide receiver Shaq Davidson from Gaffney (S.C.) High. He is rated the nation’s No. 6 wide receiver and No. 58 overall prospect by 247Sports.

The biggest and most impressive group of Big Cats is coming from the state of Georgia including six of the state’s top 16 prospects in the 247Composite led by 4-star defensive tackle Elisha Shaw from Tucker High School.

Shaw, rated the nation’s No. 4 defensive tackle and No. 42 overall prospect by 247Sports, visited Auburn a couple of months ago and currently has Georgia and Alabama at the top of his list.

Joining Shaw from the state of Georgia at Big Cat will be 4-star defensive end Dante Sawyer from North Gwinnett in Suwannee, 4-star running back Nick Chubb from Cedartown High School, 4-star safety Cortez McDowell from Locust Grove High School, 4-star corner back Nicholas Ruffin from St. Pius X in Atlanta and 4-star cornerback Wesley Green from MLK in Lithonia, Ga.

Sawyer, who is rated the nation’s No. 8 weakside defensive end and No. 134 overall prospect by 247Sports, will be visiting Auburn for the first time. Georgia and Alabama are his current leaders but Auburn has been moving up his list the last few weeks.

Chubb, McDowell, Ruffin and Green have all visited Auburn at least once. Chubb is leaning to Georgia while Green favors Clemson and Tennessee. Ruffin recently named Auburn his leader while the Tigers’ biggest competition for McDowell is probably Tennessee.

A very impressive group of prospects from the state of Alabama are planning to attend Big Cat headlined by 5-star running back Racean Thomas from Oxford High School.

Thomas, ranked the nation’s No. 6 running back and No. 34 overall prospect in the 247Composite, has visited Auburn five times this year including a trip with his family last weekend. He does not claim any current leaders but Auburn and Alabama are considered the teams to beat.

Two in-state standouts that many consider Auburn leans will be at Big Cat in 4-star linebacker Rashaan Evans from Auburn High School and 3-star tight end Jakell Mitchell from Opelika High School.

Evans and Mitchell have visited Auburn on multiple occasions and both are planning to announce a decision before the start of their senior seasons.

Three more in-state prospects attending Big Cat are 4-star offensive guard Jordan Sims from Homewood High School, 3-star quarterback Kendrick Doss from Florence High School and 3-star linebacker Gavin Bryant from Jackson High School.
