No one is saying he’s all nba… but labeling a 21 yr old a bust is some silly retard levels
This
and Jabari's most recent showing in the playoffs when he was allowed to operate makes it even more ridiculous to call him a bust.
If anything management busted like a can of biscuits.

He’s a solid piece for sure, and like I said will have a solid NBA career. But ask any rocket fan if he has remotely lived up to what they expected when they drafted him

Cant ask them if those fans don't exist.

Kessler is a prime candidate to get traded soon
The Jazz seem wholly against the idea and seem to believe he factors heavily into their rebuild. If they don't trade him he should get paid well there. I can't get over his absolute beast mode rebounding transformation this season. He was the best rebounder in the league while still being a top 2-3 shot blocker.

Hate that for him! But yeah he has been incredibly efficient in limited minutes. I don’t trust that franchise at all

Right.
Anyway, I know message boards are for calling players busts and each other retards, but if we’re being honest, it’s not just a bad team fit.

Jabari is well on his way to having a solid nba career… with the lack of ball handling he may never be a top 20 player. But that’s not a bust
This. He may be a bit of a disappointment relative to where he was drafted, but he's nowhere close to a bust or mediocre. I'm certainly disappointed his offense hasn't translated better, and I thought he'd be better than Banchero at the time, but he's been a solid piece for Houston.

Okoro is teetering on being out of the league in the next 2-3 years.
False. He's a Top Tier Defender and MUCH improved 3 point shooter. He's on a loaded team and plays his role.

Jabari on the other hand will have a 12-14 year career and make a lot of money.
He needs to get out of Houston and play on a team that will develop him. He can be an all-star

Kessler is a prime candidate to get traded soon and have a good role on a contender though
He's the only guy they don't want to trade but he has the best trade value.

Look i have no desire to sit here and keep pointing out negative aspects of jabaris career. I hope you guys are right and he can find the fit that helps him reach his potential. i just personally thought he would be a much more impactful player in the league by now. Have a great day everyone

You called him a bust after he did great in the playoffs.
I just dont get that.
You are either tone deaf, ignorant, or poorly timed.
When he was at Auburn did you really think he was a great slasher or dribbler? He is doing now what he did then from a deeper 3 point line. If he even is a critical piece on a playoff roster then he is no bust. Let him become Robert Horry

F jang, i said i didn't want to do this.
His playoff numbers were way down from even his regular season numbers. 7 points and less than 4 rebounds is great? 3 points, 0 assists, and -9 in game 7? You think that's "great"?

He shot 45% from 3 and 58% from 2. How is that not good enough?
Posted on 5/7/25 at 8:13 am to jangalang
Because they lost and he didn't impact the games in a significantly positive way. Jakhi Howard shot 54 percent which was better than broome, chad, Denver, pett, miles...
Shooting percentage is not a good measure for a low volume player. I'll back off bust because he's still early in his career but you can't just make stuff up like he's been great in the playoffs because he shot a decent percentage

Yes he did. Just admit you didnt watch any of his playoff games.
Why would Draymond say this?

I'll back off bust as well because the word apparently offends this board but I just generally hear and use that word in regards to upper half lottery picks not becoming really good players.
Jabari is solid and I expect to be an NBA rotation player going forward. Good glue guy to have around. I definitely don't see All-NBA or even All-Star in his future, though. Regardless of situation.

He will be an All Star one day. Book it.
And yeah calling him a bust is dumb and ignorant. 12 points and 7 rebounds in the NBA is not nothing.
People like Greg Robinson are busts. There is a whole fricking spectrum between Bust and Star. Jabari is somewhere in the middle but retarded Auburn fans want to swing that fricking pendulum as far as it can go.

Not disputing this at all, but when you are talked about as the likely number one pick in the weeks heading into the draft you reach a different level of expectations. Fair or unfair.
Certainly wouldn't argue that Greg Robinson was a bust
Posted on 5/7/25 at 8:53 am to auburnnyc94
It's unfair and too simplistic.
I think a team would draft him again at that position if they knew they can depend on a skilled 6'11 shooter for 14 to 15 years even if he cant do much offense creation otherwise.

If he was a better 3 point shooter I would agree. I saw him as a super-charged 3 & D guy in the draft but the defense has been merely above average and the 3 has been mediocre.
Posted on 5/7/25 at 9:20 am to auburnnyc94
Who was that 6'9 PG that couldn't shoot worth a lick in Philly. Jabari would have averaged 20 a game there as his side kick.
