Both offense and defense.

Lets be honest, he has seen dozens of asst coaches promoted and yet year after year they just put in new assts and keep on keeping on.

You just have to admire the execution.

I saw a game a few years ago where Bama was up by touchdowns, the last play of the game their opponent threw a long completed pass. Saban chewed the DB out. The announcer said to Saban, "kind of intense the game was over the mistake didnt make a difference". Saban snapped back "But it will in the future". The announcer said "I get it, do it til you get it right". Saban again snapped back "No, you do it til you cant get it wrong".

Flame away, but the aforementioned speaks volumes.

The drive killing tip interceptions also played a pretty big role

If you are a fan of excellence, you have to admire Nick Saban. I always have. Dude gets shite done. Unfortunately, there is only one of him. No other coach does what he does.

Well said Lanier, guess us old folks appreciate a good game, even when its a rival getting it done.

One can argue Jones has developed into a very good QB, but in past years when they did not have strong QBs their defense and running game stepped up. They just find a way to rise to the task.

I hate Alabama like every good Auburn boy should, but I don't hate Saban because I can't hate a winner. His ability to adapt and constantly stay ahead of what's coming in the game of football is amazing. But like you said, too bad there's only one of him.

From Kannell:

Here are the 2nd half scores from the last three Bama vs UGa matchups:

Playoffs: 26-10
SEC Champ game: 21-7
Yesterday: 21-0

That's a combined 68-17

That what makes truly a great coach. What beats him once, he adjusts, installs similar concepts, adapts and overcomes.
