I just have to say I love this team. Kudos to Bruce Pearl and all (man has revived our program and I was a student in 99), but this team plays harder with more heart than I have ever seen from an Auburn basketball team.
No offense to any other team ever, but damn I am a fan of this team. I know we lack a lot of things traditionally needed for a deep tourney run, but shite, these fellas are special and deserve so much credit and praise no matter what.

I think the way they play in terms of confidence, hustle and heart is a reflection of Bruce.
The players definitely deserve credit, but I can't help but think that Bruce made their mindset possible

When teams show this kind of heart and effort, it’s hard not to love them win or lose.

Totally agree GC. PEarl's energy is all over this team. It also helps that someone (other than Person I think), has taken over teaching these kids that defense is just as important as scoring.
This team is unique, kind of like the 99 team, which also was electric on the court. This team if they are anywhere within 10-12 points, if behind, will find a way to win. And if the score is close, sometime in the second half, this team KICKS into another gear, and then the game is a blowout.
They have won 10 of 12 SEC games by double digits, so many of those are on the road too.
Let's enjoy it. I just wish we were at full force, as in the tournament it more than likely will bite us.

Bruce was caught on video telling Gus “We beat their arse!” After the game. Some will be superstitious about hubris, especially given Malzahn’s comments and the SEC title game. But personally I like when our coaches enjoy their wins and celebrate with the team a little. frick UGA and Bama, always.
