If you want to talk abysmal bowl performances in the Gustav Era, the Sugar vs OU is your benchmark.
Didn't we drive down the field and score a TD but lose the DII QB playing for us who was the best we had on our roster in that game?
IMO it was the Wisconsin game then UCF. That 2014 was a sign of what was to come from Gus. Poor red zone play, poor short yardage play, etc...UCF IMO was a bad lose simply because it was obvious the team wasn't ready to play. Even then we were driving to tie before Stidham did what tended to do.

I realize you guys are blocking that game from your memories, but in case you’ve forgotten we scored a TD on the final play just to get to that 16-point deficit.
I can’t honestly see how you can compare that blowout to two games where we had the ball with a chance to tie on our last possession.

Regardless as to how Hardin works out, I’m so glad that Gus is gone.

From my perspective we showed we could move the ball with White, but when he went out we learned to expect a pathetic result that season. It was a lesson we learned over and over again. They may have blown us out with White, but it didn't feel that way until he went down.

That’s what I’m excited about with Harsin coming in. Harsin shouldn’t be concerned with who the starters are now but who the best players are. If Bo doesn’t improve I don’t think Harsin will have a problem with making Bo ride the pine.
I do hope he helps Nix get better. It would be an awesome thing to see a QB at Auburn develop instead of regress.

With Harsin being the ex QB, QB coach, OC, HC, he knows what he wants in his QBs.
I bet he is scouring the transfer portal looking for at least the Quality experienced backup QB, and if lucky, one that could compete for starter.
But most of all, Bo should be itching to learn from this guy...based on his progression to date...without it...he could be avg in getting an NFL chance...

I was reading some stuff about NW and saw that they arrived on Tuesday morning in Orlando. Our guys should be arriving down there any minute now (less than 24 hours before kickoff).
I feel like our entire bowl prep has been a clusterfrick...

Bama is arriving in Dallas today for their game.
With covid, it’s not a bad idea to stay where you can control the environment better... for NW, getting out of suburban Chicago made more sense.
