People want to talk Omaha this Omaha that like they are Peyton Manning under center but we really need the offense that showed up against A&M if we are going to reach Omaha.

If Terrell and Rembert and Mason and so on are on fire and we GET a couple base runners from the bottom of the lineup we are cooking with grease and our pitching should be able to coast.

Wish we could have figured out the DH spot before now.

Who do you stick there between Eddie and Logan? Lucas, Todd and Taylor just haven’t done enough.

Pitting - our go to guys were lights out, All 6 had all-tourney outings. I do wish we go the bottom guys a chance to P. We r gonna need them at some pt, can’t expect only 2 P per game from here on.

Hitting - we had a lot of guys connect but couldn’t find gaps. HR Power is the key. We need Rembert to find his Power, and need at decent run of at bats from our DH.

Break it all down, weigh strike outs vs. hit outs.

In the famous words of Bull Durham “Hit ‘em where they ain’t boys!”

Most likely we get the host at home. Make it to Omaha.

Do we think they need to start playing small ball a little more? Perhaps bunting a few times last night might have put them in better positions to score. Lots of wasted outs I saw. They need to know when to opt for that if the bats aren’t lighting up.

We’ve been trying just not able. The hottest our lineup has been was the early season tournament where Bristol was lead off, bunting stealing bases and just reaking havoc.

We are a very good team. Not great but very good. We are a good hitting team but good pitching beats good hitting always.

We don’t have anyone that scary in the lineup which hurts a little and we don’t have 2-3 guys with 16+ HRs. That’s our only flaw is lack of power but we knew that early in the season when Clay wasn’t contributing. I don’t think anyone saw him being a bust in the lineup.

We have 6-7 arms that can go complete lock down on teams that’s probably 1-2 more than almost everyone else.

Once you get to supers it’s all about the execution on the mound and defense. Plus timely hitting it’s not how many hits you get in a game it’s when the hits occur. And from there it’s how it all plays out. We are most definitely one of the top 5 teams in the country but when you get the top 16ish all together in 2 separate tournaments one being best 2 of 3 and then the last being double elimination 8 team tournament anything can happen.

Nothing would disappoint me if we get out of the regional. In the supers if you face a hot hitting team or a weird team that has 2 aces anything can happen.

When does the seeding come out? Tonight or tomorrow?

Looks about right to me. Wouldn’t argue with it as long as we are 5 or above

Yeah.

Given our metrics anything below 5 would be highway robbery.
