If not, will you promise to ban yourself? You seem so sure.

Really good pitching. Both teams have gone all in on this game.

Lot of our batters like Bingamon, Terrell, and Mccranes are young and talented and very inconsistent.

Should we have thrown a reliever before the delay?

Dick Van Horn admits us starting our pitcher before the delay hurt us more than it hurt them

Butch already said he can expect Petrovic to go 6 or 7. But surely he knew Petrovic wasn't going 7 tonight

That guy pitching was the best arm in their bullpen. Hetzler was money, that guy hit a pretty good pitch out of the park. Pretty sure we had more hits than they did and we hit a bunch of balls really hard right at someone. I feel really good about this team.

Didnt score after the second inning.

Outstanding pitching but the hitting is very hot/cold…

Earlier in the day those balls off the bats of Mason and Eric in the 8th and 9th likely leave the yard. Very different narrative. Ball was just dying in the air after the atmosphere got worked over.

Hetz wasn’t the problem. Had you told me he’d go five and only surrender one run before the game I’d have kissed you full on the mouth.

I dont think the pitching was the problem either.

The transparency behind the gamesmanship was a nice touch on DVH's part though

Hate rain delays. Always have go to the well and change tactics. The pigs played to win, Auburn didn’t change.

Called timeout one night. Runner on third with one out. Best bunter in the lineup at the plate. Switched pitcher and catcher, waited for warm up, called timeout again and inserted a hidden pitchout and pitch signal. Caught the runner between third and home twice, final pitch, batter lunged across the plate for strike three and out number two, then tagged the runner out half way down the line for out three. Game over.

My lead off batter walked. Had him steal second on the next pitch. He had a green light on next pitch and stole third. Pitcher got mad and threw past third base to score the only run in the game. We had multiple rain delays ….hated them when I played and hated them as a coach.

Oh well. There are some positive takeaways, especially on the pitching side. Deepest run we’ve made in 23 years and not a single one of our arms had a bad outing. Jake, Jackson, Dre, LJ, Petro and Ryan were all practically flawless. Only allowed three runs in 27 innings of work.

If we hit we can expect a serious run.
